The effects of participation in university’s career development programs on college graduates’ endeavor to improve their job abilities and personal satisfaction with the work

이 연구는 대졸 청년층이 대학 재학을 전후로 경험한 일련의 진로개발 과정에 초점을 맞춰, 대학 재학 중 진로개발프로그램 참여 경험, 능력개발, 그리고 취업 후 주관적 만족과의 관계를 규명하고자 한다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 한국고용정보원의 ‘대졸자 직업이동 경로조사’ 중 2008GOMS1을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 대학 재학 중 대졸 청년의 진로개발프로그램 참여 경험이 능력개발 노력을 촉진한 반면, 취업 후 직장에서의 주관적 취업 만족도에 부정적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 대학 재학을 전후로 한 개인의 능력개발 노력이 취업 후 직장에서의 주관적 취업 만족도에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 대학 재학 중 진로개발프로그램 참여경험이 능력개발 노력을 매개로 하여 취업 후 직장에서의 주관적 취업 만족도에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 이 결과를 토대로 한국 대졸 청년의 바람직한 진로개발을 위한 이론적․실천적 제언을 하였다.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of participation in university’s career development programs on college graduates' endeavor to improve their job abilities and personal satisfaction with the work. To analyze results for this study, data of 2008GOMS1(Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey) were used. Study results showed that college graduates' participation in university's career development programs effects positively on their endeavor to improve their job abilities, whereas negatively on the personal satisfaction with their work. Secondly, college graduates' endeavor to improve their job abilities effects positively on the personal satisfaction with the work. Lastly, college graduates' participation in university's career development programs effects positively on the personal satisfaction with the work on condition that their endeavor to improve their job abilities intermediates between them. Based on the results of this study, practical and theoretical suggestions were provided

The Research on Employment Determinants of Specialized Highschool Graduates

이 연구는 특성화고를 졸업한 청년층의 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하여 이들의 고용을 촉진하기 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국고용정보원에서 제공하는 ‘고졸자 취업진로 조사(HSGOMS: High School Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey)’를 분석 자료로 활용하였다. 그 중 취업 여부의 판단이 가능한 4,016명을 대상으로 특성화고 청년층의 취업결정요인을 살펴보기 위해 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 개인 및 가정의 특성, 취업목표, 학교의 진로지도, 가정진로지도, 직업 관련 교육 및 훈련, 구직활동과 관련된 변인을 투입하는 총 6단계 모형을 설정하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 성별과 거주지역, 취업목표 설정 시기, 학교성적, 직업 관련 교육 및 훈련의 다양성, 자격증 소지 유무, 구직활동 여부, 면접 경험이 취업에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 분석되었다. 이러한 점을 반영하여 특성화고 청년층의 취업 가능성을 향상시키기 위해 고려해야 할 사항들에 대해 제언하였다.This study aimed to analyze employment determinants of specialized highschool graduates and to discuss how to improve their employability. To accomplish this purpose, the data of 4,016 cases which their employment status can be discerned from HSGOMS(High School Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey) produced by KEIS(Korea Employment Information Service) were analyzed using the binominal logistic regression analysis. Personal and family's characteristics, employment goal setting, career interventions of the graduated highschool/their own family, vocational education and training and job search activities were analyzed as employment determinants. The research results showed gender, residential district, employment goal setting juncture, school record, participation on vocational education and training and experiences of job searching/job interview as significant employment determinants of specialized highschool graduates
