How does strange-culture influence a curriculum scholar's praxis on education reform in taiwan?—the case study of professor Ping Huang Huang

本研究的目的在於探析課程學者黃炳煌教授之異文化經驗對其教改實踐的影響。首先以深度訪談的方式勾勒研究對象從童年至今的生命軌跡，在對其整個生命概況有了基本的認識之後，再針對其在美國生活十四年的異文化經驗與其回國後教改實踐的部分進行連結與分析。研究結果主要以兩部分呈現：一為研究對象的生命故事，二為分析研究對象異文化經驗與其參與教改實務的關連性。前者旨在幫助對後者的理解與判斷。研究發現課程學者所接觸到的異文化對其在實踐教育改革上有一定程度的影響，主要層面如下：一、使研究對象對原文化與異文化的教育理念抱持著比較和融合的觀點。二、異文化對主體在教育改革意識上產生增強、削弱或是視野上的拓展。直接且顯著的影響是在觀念意識上的轉變與突破，體現在課堂發言、政策擬定、相關著作發表等方面。其中在推敲影響的過程中，發現異文化的吸收是一種經驗批判，植基於受影響者的人格特質，以及參與的動機和時機，這些也是在談論影響時不可忽略的因素。This research focuses on one curriculum scholar and the purpose of the research is to explore the effects of Professor Bing-huang Huang’s foreign cultural experiences on his practice of educational reforms. At first, this paper depicts Professor Huang’s life history since his childhood with profound interviews. After having a basic studying of his whole life history, the paper focuses on his foreign cultural experiences during his fourteen-year-long life in America. Then, the paper connects and analyzes those experiences with his practice of educational reforms after he came back to Taiwan. The results of this research are shown in two parts. One is his life history, and the other is the analysis of the connections between his foreign cultural experiences and his participation in the educational reforms. The former part aims to help the understanding and judging of the latter part. The research finds out that the foreign cultural experiences of this curriculum scholar do have effects on his practice of educational reforms to some extent. The main aspects are as follows, 1. Professor Huang’s educational concepts for his original culture and for the foreign culture are compared and integrated. 2. The foreign cultural experiences have strengthening, weakening, or broadening influences on the professor’s thoughts for educational reforms. One of the most direct and obvious influences is the alternation and breakthrough of the thoughts, and they are carried out in in-class speeches, arrangements of the policies, and the publication of related writings. In the process of considering the effects, it is noticed that the acquirement of foreign cultural experiences is a kind of empirical evaluation, which is rooted in the personality and the motives and time of participation. An Efficient Postprocessing Method of the Directional Field

方向图获取是指纹识别系统中的关键环节。本文根据方向图中分块区域的平方梯度一致性,提出了去除方向图上背景/噪声区域,以及在此基础上对方向图进行平滑处理的方法。通过这种方法,可以使得方向图上准确地保留指纹图像有效区域的方向表示。实验结果证明了这种方向图后处理方法的有效性。Estimation of the directional field is a crucial step in fingerprint recognition. Based on the coherence of the squared gradients, we present a new postprocessing method to clear off the background or noise block in the directional field and smoothes it efficiently. A Fast Method of Airport Runway Detection in Aerial Images

提出一种航拍机场跑道的快速检测方法.首先,采用自适应阈值方法对图像进行边缘检测,提取图像,要物体的轮廓后利用线段的长度和图像的梯度相位信息剔除短线条和曲线.然后利用 Hough 变换进行直线检搜索出平行直线对作为机场跑道的候选区域.最后利用机场跑道特征对候选区域进行验证.剔除虚假目标,对ternet 上下载的大量机场航拍图像的实验表明,该方法能够快速准确地检测出机场跑道,且具有较好的鲁棒性够消除背景中诸如云朵等物体的干扰.A method to fast detect airport runway in the aerial images is presented in this paper.Firstly, the binary image is generated via adaptive edge detection,so the main edges of the object in the image are extracted.Next,using the length information of the lines and gradient information of the pixels,the post-processing is applied to eliminate the short lines and reduce the curves.Then the parallel straight lines detected by Hough transform are considered as candidate regions.At last,the candidate regions are verified by the character of runway.Experiments on dozens of the aerial images from Internet indicate that this method can detect the runway exactly and quickly, and it is robust to the disturbance of some background objects such as cloud,国家自然科学基金委员会创新研究群体项目(No.60024301);; 国家自然科学基金项目(No.60175008);; 厦门大学985二期信息创新平台项目资
