    Consolidative ESP

    There is an ever increasing demand from industry that engineers, especially those in the field of computer science, have a better command of English. This paper reports the pilot ESP teaching project in one of the biggest faculties of engineering in Japan. About 150 second-year students were given the weekly assignment of translating what they had learned in class about a programming language into English. The project was carried out by a team of specialists, both in the content area and language teaching, and implemented on CEAS, an e-learning platform which emphasizes the face-to-face lecture. The project proved to be successful as the test results in English and the programming language showed a strong correlation. The student perception of the demanding curriculum was also positive.     Degradation of 2-methylisoborneol in water by hydroxyl radical

    二-甲基异莰醇(2-MIB)是一种由蓝绿藻以及放线菌等微生物产生,具有桥环结构的饱和叔醇,在水中具有令人厌恶的土霉味,常规水处理工艺难以对其氧化; 降解.利用大气压强电离放电生成羟基自由基(·OH),对2-MIB进行氧化降解,确定了其氧化剂剂量效应、时间效应关系,并利用GC-MS对2-MIB; 氧化降解过程中间产物的分析,推断其氧化降解机制.结果表明:对初始浓度为150,300ng/L的2-MIB,分别投加总氧化剂TRO1.8,2.3m; g/L,接触反应6s去除率分别为96%和97.6%,处理后残余浓度低于10ng/L; (低于人类嗅阈值).在2-MIB水样中加入·OH淬灭剂叔丁醇(TBA)后,2-MIB的去除效果明显降低,证明氧化降解2-MIB的主要为·OH.另; 外通过对氧化降解过程中间产物分析表明,·OH能破坏2-MIB的桥环结构,并最终矿化生成CO_2和H_2O.2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB) produced by cyanobacteria and actinomycetes; is a saturated bicyclic-tertiary alcohol, which can cause earthy/musty; taste and odor in surface water. Moreover, 2-MIB is usually difficult to; be decomposed and removed by conventional water treatment process. In; this paper, hydroxyl radical (·OH) generated by a strong ionization; discharge process at atmosphere pressure was used to degrade 2-MIB in; water, of which the removal efficiency including dose effects and; contact reaction time were investigated. The intermediate products; formed in ·OH treatment process were analyzed by GC-MS, and the; oxidative degradation mechanism of 2-MIB by ·OH was discussed. Results; show that the removal rate for 2-MIB with initial concentration of 150; and 300ng/L could reach 96% and 97.6% within 6.0s, while the total; reactive oxidant (TRO) dose were 1.8 and 2.3mg/L, respectively. After; ·OH treatment, the concentration of 2-MIB in water was lower than 10ng/L; (lower than the human olfactory threshold). The degradation effects of; 2-MIB were obviously reduced by the ·OH scavengers tertiary butyl; alcohol (TBA), indicating that ·OH should be the main oxidant for 2-MIB; oxidative degradation.     東アジア企業のマーケティング革新の研究

    本研究報告は,東アジア企業が日本,韓国,それに中国の変化しつつある市場においてマーケティング革新をどのように行っているかを示している。われわれの研究プロジェクトは2011年にスタートし,2014年3月まで行われ,そこでは主に企業関係者へのインタビューと施設視察によって進められた。国内市場で成功している日本企業の多くはコアな強みを確立しているが,東アジア市場では文化的な違いを理解し,かつ地域市場のニーズにコアな戦略を適応させる必要がある。この調査研究では,急速に変化する市場の中で東アジア企業にとってのマーケティング革新をめぐる幾つかの特徴や問題点を明らかにしている。This research report shows how East Asian companies are innovating their marketing in the changing markets of Japan, South Korea and China. Our research project started from April 2011 and continued until March 2014 and was conducted mainly by the interview to company stuffs and inspection to major shopping facilities. Although the most successful Japanese companies build on their core competencies in the domestic market, they also need to recognize cultural differences and adapt their core strategy to the local needs in East Asian markets.     Structural difference due to intramolecular stacking interactions in dinuclear rhodium(III) complexes [{Rh(η5-C5Me5)(L)}2]n+containing pyrimidine-2-thionate and related ligands

    Self-assembling reactions between [Rh(η5-C5Me5)(H2O)3]2+and pyrimidine-2-thionate(pymt) or related ligands[L; mpymt = 4-methyl-pyrimidine-2-thionate(1-), dmpymt = 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-thionate(1-), apymt = 4-aminopyrimidine-2-thionate(1-), dapymt = 4,6-diaminopyrimidine-2-thionate(1-), or mpol = 2-sulfanyl-3-pyridinolate(2-)] were carried out and the products characterized by UV/vis, NMR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and crystal structure analysis. All products are dinuclear rhodium(III) complexes of [{Rh(η5-C5Me5)(L)}2]n+: three crystal structures with mpymt, dmpymt and mpol were determined. The mpymt and dmpymt ligands co-ordinate through a 1κ2N,S:2κS mode and the two pyrimidine rings are located in cis position,whereas mpol adopts a five-membered chelating mode with 1κ2S,O:2κS and the two pyrimidine rings are located in trans position. Such structural difference can reasonably be explained by the intramolecular stacking interaction between the two bridging ligands

    Hyperspectral image classification based on spectral-spatial combination features and graph cut

    高光谱图像中存在着特征维度高而训练集小的问题。为解决该问题,提出了一种2步走的分类方法:1)通过支持向量机对图像进行初步分类,根据分类结果计算出每个类别的均值特征;2)使用1)计算出来的均值特征作为能量函数的数据项,然后利用图割原理对图像做二次分类。实验中发现:空间上相近的像素点往往具有相似的特征,且属于同一个类别。针对这种现象,提取一个将谱域特征和空域特征相结合的新特征。该特征既包含了光谱信息也包含了空间信息,具有较好的分类性能和鲁棒性。在IndIAn PInE数据集和PAVIA unIVErSITy数据集进行实验,实验结果表明了本文提出方法的有效性。The high-dimension of the feature vs.small-size of training set is an unsolved problem in the hyperspectral image classification task.To solve this problem a two-step classification method is proposed.Firstly,a preliminary classification is performed by the support vector machine( SVM) and the classification results are used to calculate the mean feature( MF) of each class.Secondly,a classification based on the graph cut theory is applied with the MFs as an input of the energy function.The experimental results showed that spatially nearby pixels have large possibilities of having the same label and similar features.Therefore,a new feature called spectral-spatial combination( SSC) is extracted that combines the spectral-based feature and spatial-based feature.The SSC feature contains the related spectral and spatial information of each pixel and provides better classification performance and robustness.Experiment results on the Indian Pine dataset and the Pavia University dataset demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method.国家自然科学基金资助项目(61202143); 福建省自然科学基金资助项目(2013J05100;2010J01345;2011J01367); 湖南省自然科学基金资助项目(12JJ2040

    Action recognition based on the angle histogram of key parts

    当前的姿态表示的行为识别方法通常对姿态的准确性做了很强的假设,而当姿态分析不精确时,这些现有方法的识别效果不佳。提出了一种低维的、鲁棒的基于关键肢体角度直方图的人体姿态特征描述子,用于将整个动作视频映射成一个特征向量。同时,还在特征向量中引入共生模型,用以表示肢体间的关联性。最后,设计了分层的SVM分类器,第1层主要用于选择高判别力的肢体作为关键肢体,第2层则利用关键肢体的角度直方图并作为特征向量,进行行为识别。实验结果表明,基于关键肢体角度直方图的动作特征具有较好的判别能力,能更好地区分相似动作,并最终取得了更好的识别效果。The current pose-based methods usually make a strong assumption for the accuracy of pose,but when the pose analysis is not precise,these methods cannot achieve satisfying results of recognition.Therefore,this paper proposed a low-dimensional and robust descriptor on the gesture feature of the human body based on the angle histogram of key limbs,which is used to map the entire action video into an feature vector.A co-occurrence model is introduced into the feature vector for expressing the relationship among limbs.Finally,a two-layer support vector machine( SVM) classifier is designed.The first layer is used to select highly discriminative limbs as key limbs and the second layer takes angle histogram of key limbs as the feature vector for action recognition.Experiment results demonstrated that the action feature based on angle histogram of key limbs has excellent judgment ability,may properly distinguish similar actions and achieve better recognition effect.国家自然科学基金资助项目(61202143); 福建省自然科学基金资助项目(2013J05100;2010J01345;2011J01367); 厦门市科技重点项目资助项目(3502Z20123017

    本研究報告は,近年,中国において急速に発展する電子商取引の実態を探ることを狙いとしている。我々の研究プロジェクトは,2017年9月13日から16日までの日程で行われ,主に中国の電子商取引に関連した企業へのインタビューと施設視察によって進められた。今回の調査対象は,訪問企業として蘇寧雲商とアリババを選定し,両者の発展過程と特徴,オフラインとオンラインとの関係,アリババの共同開発,そして中国におけるOOH広告について明らかにしている。This research report aims at exploring the actual situation of electronic commerce which is rapidly developing in China in recent years. Our research project was conducted from 13[th] to 16[th] September 2017, mainly by visiting and interviewing Chinese facilities and enterprises that are related to e-commerce.
