A consideration of social support and mental health for female college students during their job hunting

大学生を取り巻く就職活動の状況は険しく、精神健康の観点からも大きな問題となっている。本研究では就職活動において具体的にはどのようなソーシャルサポートが行われているのか、それと関連して実際にどのようなことが「よかったこと」、「辛かったこと」と考とらえられているかについて、自由記述の調査を実施し、内容分析を行った。その結果、「就職課」、「家族」、「友人」、「保健管理センター」、「その他」としての先輩や先生等に人間関係やWeb上での就職活動援助サイトなどについて、物理的サポートと精神的サポートが行われ、また、物理的サポートが結果的に精神的サポートに結びつくことが明らかになった。「よかったこと」においては、そのようにとらえるベースに就職活動を取り組むべき試練やアイデンティティ確立のための発達課題としてとらえ、外的要因が内的要因の自己開発へと結びつけようとしている態度があることが明らかになった。「辛かったこと」は、面接に付随する要因が多数を占め、それが他者との関係における辛いことにも結び付き、結果的に精神的不健康を生じさせていることが示された。The hard “job-hunting” situation makes some mental problems for female college students. The present study was intended to investigate relation among“job-hunting”, relevant social support, and about what they feel happy and painful. A method for analyzing free descriptive answer was administered to final year female college students（N＝69）who were searching for a “job-hunting”. Results indicated that (1)social support by placement office, family, friends, university health service and other support are categorized into 2 types, physical support and mental support, (2)physical support eventually shifts to mental support, (3)some students, who think “job-hunting” as the chance to clear the developmental task, so called identity formation, and make effort to develop themselves, feel happy during job-hunting. Mostly, a failed interview is felt painful and causes to a bad relation with others and finally to bad mental health

夏季着用衣服に付着した汚れの効果的な洗浄方法

A study was made in search for an effective washing method of summer time clothes labeledas "not allowed to be washed by home laundry". Cotton and rayon clothes were selected assamples. Two washing methods were examined. With A method, a towel containing ca. 210%tap water and standard detergent usage was placed on the neck soiled sample and beaten forseveral minutes. The detergent was removed by the beating with a towel containing freshwater. With S method according to the suggestion of S Co. Ltd, a towel containing ca. 140%tap water used and beaten in the same way. Color changes, yellowing, were measured with acolor difference meter for the samples of the seven times washed by A and S method and forthe samples of the once washed and afterward kept for seven days. The changes in the verticaland horizontal directions were measured after the corresponding washings.It was found that A method was superior to S method in not causing the yellowing. Thedimensional changes resulting from A method washing increased to ca. 4% with the openingpercentage of the clothes.
