Although the safeness of health food has not been empirically confirmed，the consumption has rapidly increased in recent years in Japan. This phenomenon，however，may raise a question，'why do people use health food although they do not have enough information about the safeness?'. The current study used the theory of planned behavior (TPB: Ajzen，1985，1991) to explain the behavior of health food intake. Three hundreds and seventy six university students voluntarily participated in the questionnaire-based study. It was found that intentions and subjective norms significantly explained the behavior of health food intake. Also，the intention of health food intake was significantly predicted by attitude，subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. These results could evaluate the application of the TPB for the behavior of health food intake

Today，th e overconfidence of physical ability draws attention as the relevant factors of the falling of elderly people. Previous studies indicate that the age-related decrease of physical ability affects the self-evaluation of physical ability，though no experimental study exists at the moment Therefore，this study aims to examine; (1) the status of physical ability in the elderly，(2) the overconfidence of physical ability in the elderly，(3) relation between the decrease of physical ability and the overconfidence of physical ability，and (4) relation between the overconfidence of physical ability and the falling. Two conditions were arranged; load condition which limits physical abi1ity，and no-load condition. As a result，the tendency of the overconfidence of physical ability was not a unique. finding of the elderly although their physical ability actually decreased. In addition，there were four elderly participants who could not recognize the decease of their physical ability properly
