(The article gives coverage of the issues related to the introduction into the foreign languages teaching process the up-to-date technologies aimed at developing and improving all kinds of speech activity and forming students’ professional communicative competence.

    У статті досліджуються деякі аспекти педагогічної психології у процесі навчання іноземної мови студентів немовних спеціальностей. (The article deals with some aspects of pedagogical psychology in learning foreign languages of non-linguistic specialities students. In a number of their works the Ukrainian and foreign scholars take into consideration the problems of skills and professionalism of educational activities and, in particular, the issues of educational psychology and didactics concerning the optimal organization of the process of learning foreign languages in accordance with modern requirements and the actual conditions of foreign language teaching of professional direction. The researchers worked out the theoretical bases of studies that involve the development of intellectual, volitional, emotional and motivational spheres of personality. They found out that teaching a foreign language in high school is closely linked with the rational use of psycho-physiological theory of memory. The success of the speech processes depends on wellestablished long-term and operational memory, and which should be developed in learning a foreign language. Motivational factor occupies an important place among the necessary conditions for the organization of effective teaching process. It is proved that positive emotions as an important component in the structure of human mental activity is one of the most effective means to encourage students to learn. The current teacher in organizing the educational process should be the regulator of the spiritual world of students and promote further skills improvement in a foreign language. Special studies have shown that learning a foreign language as a means of intercultural communication is an effective tool of knowledge stimulation and students creativity demonstration. Our studies affirm that activation of thinking reinforces the work of attention, memory, and saturation of foreign language classes content with socio-cultural information stimulates cognitive and communicative motivation, thereby activating the mental abilities of students, including the operations of analysis, synthesis, mental planning and reflection.

    У пропонованій статті розглядаються питання, пов’язані з проблемами іншомовної підготовки студентів немовних спеціальностей в процесі міжкультурної інтеграції шляхом формування у них мовної, мовленнєвої і соціокультурної компетенцій. (This article deals with the issues related to the problems of technical students foreign language training in the process of intercultural integration by means of forming their language and speech competences, social and cultural ones as well. Today foreign language training is an integral component of education, it is not only an indicator of high cultural level of the personality, but also the key to his/her successful professional activity. It is pointed out in a typical foreign language programme for higher education that the purpose of learning foreign language is to master it as a means of communication that promotes the development of students’ ability to use it in terms of interaction in multicultural and multinational space. Therefore, the problem of forming foreign language communicative competence (FLCC) of technical students gained special importance and has become the subject of a number scientific studies. The article examines some peculiarities of forming FLCC of technical colleges students by using the active methods of teaching and reveals the essence of intercultural communication and practical importance of social and cultural competence and tolerance in today’s multicultural world. These active methods contribute to stimulating perceptional activities of students; they are based mainly on dialogues, involving the free exchahge of ideas on how to solve a particular problem and are characterized by a high level of students’ activity. Moreover, these techniques provide a solution of educational problems in various aspects: they develop creative abilities and non-standard mentality; create a positive lear-ning motivation, effective assimilation of large amounts of educational informa-tion; promote the development of communicative and emotional areas of students; contribute to the development of cognitive processes – language, memory, thinking, help to reveal personal and individual capabilities of each student.

    Стаття розглядає актуальні питання, пов’язані з перспективами застосування новітніх освітніх технологій і методик навчання з використанням мультимедійних засобів у процесі формування професійної іншомовної комунікативної компетенції у студентів немовних вищих навчальних закладів. Наведено приклади використання контекстного навчання, методу проектів, інформаційно-комунікативних технологій, застосування професійно орієнтованого підходу до навчання з досягненням комунікативних цілей через фахову інтерактивну діяльність. (The article examines current issues related to the prospects of the use of the newest educational technologies and teaching methods using multimedia in the process of forming professional foreign language communicative competence of students of non-linguistic specialities. It is emphasized that innovative methods of teaching foreign languages based on the humanistic approach create conditions for effective improvement of educational process in higher educational institutions. The basic principles of modern methods are: the movement of the whole to the individual, classes orientation for the student (learner-centered lessons), purpose-fulness and meaningfulness of classes, their focus on the achievement of social interaction, the teacher’s faith in the success of his/her students, mastering foreign language by using knowledge from other branches of science. The article provides examples of implementing contextual learning, project method, information and communicative technologies, the use of professionally oriented approach to achieve communicative goals by means of professional interactive activities. The article stresses the need of strengthening the autonomy (independence) of students who act as active subjects of training process. This is achieved through clear planning and organization of classroom and independent work of students by using reative tasks, defined forms and methods of work, and also owing to the detailed guidelines on foreign language courses. All activities aimed at developing creativity of students ensure the practical orientation of training and combine individual, pair and group forms of work. Much attention is paid to the integration of academic subjects and development of interdisciplinary connections, that is the establishment of effective partnership between the teachers of foreign languages department and teachers of professional academic subjects that will improve students’ cognitive activity and create positive learning motivation and effective assimilation of large amounts of educational information.
