Cultural and historical development of Podkrkonoší region focused on the village Horní Štěpanice

Tato práce se zabývá studiem kulturního a historického vývoje regionu Podkrkonoší na příkladu obce Horní Štěpanice z perspektivy kulturologických vědních disciplín. Je zde podán ucelený rozbor vývoje tohoto mikroregionu v jeho plném časovém rozpětí. V práci je kladen důraz na počátky osidlování studované oblasti, její proměny v různých časových obdobích a na její popis v současnosti. Práce zachycuje tuto oblast na pozadí jednotlivých dějinných událostí, jako např. období držení panství šlechtickými rody Valdštejnů a Harrachů, 1. a 2. světové války, období socialismu a porevoluční vývoj. Součástí práce je také vyhodnocení získaného materiálu, na základě kterého je podán rozbor hmotného umění a živé kultury tohoto regionu. Mezi studované oblasti proto patří následující témata: lidová strava, tradiční řemesla, lidový oděv, ochotnické divadlo, nářečí a lidové zvyky v průběhu křesťanského roku. Závěr práce spočívá v analýze současného postavení obce v kontextu regionální kultury. Cílem práce je, za prvé, na příkladu konkrétní obce podat ucelený obraz vývoje regionu Podkrkonoší, za druhé, zmapovat současný stav a nastínit možný směr, kterým se bude lidová kultura této oblasti v budoucnu ubírat a otevřít prostor k jeho dalšímu možnému studiu.This work is concerned with the study of the cultural and historical development of Podkrkonoší region focused on the village Horní Štěpanice in the perspective of disciplines of a cultural theory. The emphasis is placed upon the beginnings of settlement in this region, its variations in different time period and its contemporary description. The work defines this locality on the background of various historical events, such as period of ownership of this dominium by two noble houses of Valdštejn and Harrach, first and second world war, period of socialism and the development after revolution in the year 1989. This work also includes interpretation of collected material. On this base analyse of tangible art and live culture of this region is given. The emphasis is therefore placed upon the following subjects: folk cuisine, traditional handcrafts, folk costume, amateur theatrical, local dialect and folk habits and customs during the Christian year. Conclusion of the work lies in the village contemporary stance analyse in the context of regional culture.
