The contribution deals with design technology service model using the combined transport. It assesses the performance indicators in relation to price and quality of services provided and on this basis decides on the type of the transport. This is the decision-making processes, which should answer the question, whether used directly in road freight transport, direct rail freight transport or combined transport. In this contribution is the combined transport meant as a system between the conventional modes, which are transhipped goods from road vehicles to the rail cars or river boats

INOVATIVE SYSTEMS OF SEMI-TRAILERS IN CONTINENTAL INTERMODAL TRANSPORT

Příspěvek popisuje možné alternativy silničních vozidel využívaných v oblasti kombinované přepravy. Jedná se zejména o silniční návěsy s prodlouženou nástavbou a tzv. eurocombi soupravy, jejímž využití dojde k zajištění většího objemu přepravovaného zboží v přepravních jednotkách a možnému posílení systému kombinované přepravy.The paper deals with alternative of semi-trailer systems of intermodal transport. This transport vehicles are semi-trailers with extended length and European Modular System (EMS) – eurocombi. The semi-trailers with extended length allow the vehicle to carry 10% more volume than a current semi-trailer. The EuroCombi allows transport volume to be increased by up to 50 percent per vehicle, compared to today’s truck combinations

DEVELOP A NOVEL MARITIME CONTAINER TRANSPORT SYSTEM

Příspěvek popisuje inovativní systém překládky kontejnerů. Jedná se o systém překládky kontejnerů na volném moři prostřednictvím technologie mid-stream (překládka na širém moři prostřednictvím mobilních jeřábů) a nové technologie Mobilní přístav. Ta spočívá v tom, že samotná překládka kontejnerů probíhá na volném moři bez kotvení lodí k nábřežní hraně terminálu. Systém umožňuje nejen překládku kontejnerů, ale i jejich umístění na palubě plavidla a následnou přepravu k jednotlivým nábřežním hranám.This paper deals with new system of reloading of container in container terminals. Mid-stream operation is the operation of loading and unloading cargo containers at the container ship while at sea, with barges or dumb steel lighters performing the transfer, distribution or landing of containers to piers nearby. The goal of KAIST Mobile Harbor Project is to design and develop a novel maritime container transport system that can go out to a ship, anchoring in the deep water, to load/unload containers on sea and take them to their destination ports regardless of their water depth

THE OPTIMIZATION OF PICK-UP AND DELIVERY OF SMALL CONSIGNMENTS

The design of the whole distribution system can be decomposed into long term, medium term and short term decision-making problems. The heart of performed analysis is short term decision making – the vehicle routing problem itself. There were identified the most important variants of vehicle routing problems which need to be solved for the purposes of optimization of pick-up and delivery of small consignments

OPTIMIZING PROCESS OF CHECK-IN AND SECURITY CHECK AT AIRPORT TERMINALS

The paper deals with possibilities of optimizing the process of check-in and security check at airport terminals using simulation program. Proposed model is based on real parameters and simulated in the environment of the program Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. This program simulates the process of check-in and security check. Queuing theory will be used for simulation. Principally it means queuing customers, i.e. accumulation of requests, in front of a service centre. Limiting criteria for optimization include operating conditions of airport terminals, financial means connected with personnel resources, legal standards related to safety in air transport and level of service indicators. The aim of the paper is to create a model, which analyses the passenger flow processes at the airport terminal and could be used for evaluating potential changes of the check-in and security check system at airport terminals
