    Computer simulation of a sheep herd and a sheepdog

    Computer simulations of the behaviour are nowadays used almost everywhere: games, movies, robotics, etc. The purpose of developing models of behaviour is to recreate as closely as possible the natural behaviour of animals, such as birds, fish, insects, sheep. The purpose of the thesis was to examine the latest models of the behaviour of sheep and the sheepdog. The paper presents the implementation of two sheep behaviour models and one dog behaviour model. Algorithms are summarized according to two articles Strömbom, D., et al. (2014), Solving the shepherding problem: heuristics for herding autonomous, interacting agents, doi: 10.1098/rsif.2014.0719 and Ginelli, F., et al. (2015), Intermittent collective dynamics emerge from conflicting imperatives in sheep herds, doi: 10.1073/pnas.1503749112, both of which were as the main guidelines in the creation of the simulation, and then there were added a few improvements. Tests have been made, in which we observed the success of the sheepdog model with both sheep models, at the different sized herds

    I got the idea for the thesis at work in the company Printec S.I. d.o.o. I also had mandatory practice in the 3rd, the final year. Later they employed me because they needed extra help with POS terminals which should be ready for the production in 2019. Since this task was more extensive, I decided I will take it for my thesis. Firstly, I had to learn and understand how existing application works since the framework was done in Printec Romania. Then, I had to read and understand all the MasterCard requirements for installments and how should POS terminal behave during the transaction. After that, it was a programming described functionality. When the code was done, it was merged into the existing solution and thoroughly tested and fixed where needed since the added feature must not break something which has already worked. Later, it was tested again by Bankart, i.e. ATM and Card processing Center in Slovenia. How each step was done, it is explained in detail later in the thesis, firstly, with an explanation of the framework used for programming and after that with implementation for MasterCard installments payment option, if there is such an option

    Reduction in Spoilage Microbiota and Cyclopiazonic Acid Mycotoxin with Chestnut Extract Enriched Chitosan Packaging: Stability of Inoculated Gouda Cheese

    Active chitosan-based films, blended with fibrous chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) tannin-rich extract were used to pack Gouda cheese that has been contaminated with spoilage microflora Pseudomonas fluorescens, Escherichia coli, and fungi Penicillium commune. A comprehensive experimental plan including active chitosan-based films with (i) chestnut extract (CE), (ii) tannic acid (TA), and (iii) without additives was applied to evaluate the film′s effect on induced microbiological spoilage reduction and chemical indices of commercial Gouda cheese during 37 days while stored at 4 °C and 25 °C, respectively. The cheese underwent microbiology analysis and chemical assessments of ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) (cyclopiazonic acid), pH, and moisture content. The biopackaging used for packing cheese was characterized by mechanical properties before food packaging and analyzed with the same chemical analysis. The cheese microbiology showed that the bacterial counts were most efficiently decreased by the film without additives. However, active films with CE and TA were more effective as they did not break down around the cheese and showed protective properties against mycotoxin, moisture loss, and pH changes. Films themselves, when next to high-fat content food, changed their pH to less acidic, acted as absorbers, and degraded without plant-derived additives

    Determination of the position of church belfries in D96/TM in the SW area of Ljubljana

    V trigonometričnih mrežah koordinatnega sistema D48/GK so bili cerkveni zvoniki določeni s koordinatami v horizontalni ravnini in večkrat tudi z višinami. Geodetske točke na cerkvenih zvonikih so služile za vzpostavljanje in umeščanje geodetskih točk v prostor. Z vzpostavitvijo koordinatnega sistema D96/TM se položaje geodetskih točk določa s pomočjo satelitskih metod geodetske izmere. Veliko geodetskih točk starih geometričnih mrež je bilo uničenih, cerkveni zvoniki pa so zaradi svoje nedostopnosti obstali in lahko služijo kot prehod med obema koordinatnima sistemoma. V magistrskem delu smo z združitvijo geodetskih GNSS in klasičnih terestričnih metod ter z izravnavo po metodi najmanjših kvadratov in s S-transformacijo določili koordinate šestim cerkvenim zvonikom na jugozahodnem delu Ljubljane. Izračunane položaje cerkvenih zvonikov smo s transformacijo primerjali s koordinatami iz starih topografij.Church belfries were determined in horizontal plane as well as the heights in the trigonometric networks of the old Slovene coordinate system D48/GK. Geodetic points on the church belfries served as reference points in detail surveying. Since the implementation of the new coordinate system D96/TM the geodetic points are determined by use of space geodetic methods and consequently church belfries are not as important as in the D48/GK era. A lot of old geodetic reference points of trigonometric networks were damaged or demolished, but church belfries are inaccessible so they remain and today serve as a transition between the old D48/GK to the new coordinate system D96/TM. In the master\u27s thesis we combined terrestrial measurements and the free-network least squares adjustment with further use of the S-transformation to determine six geodetic points of church belfries from the south-western part of Ljubljana. New coordinates were transformed to the old coordinate system and compared with the coordinates from topographies
