Electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos in gamma-proton collision at the LHC

    We have investigated non-standard ννˉγ\nu \bar \nu \gamma and ννˉγγ\nu \bar \nu \gamma \gamma couplings via ννˉ\nu \bar \nu production in a γp\gamma p collision at the LHC. We obtain 95\% confidence level bounds on ννˉγ\nu \bar \nu \gamma and ννˉγγ\nu \bar \nu \gamma \gamma couplings by considering three different forward detector acceptances; 0.0015<ξ<0.150.0015 <\xi < 0.15, 0.0015<ξ<0.50.0015 <\xi < 0.5 and 0.1<ξ<0.50.1 <\xi < 0.5. We show that the reaction pp→pγp→pννˉqXp p\to p\gamma p\to p \nu \bar \nu q X provides more than eight orders of magnitude improvement in neutrino-two photon couplings compared to LEP limits.Comment: 18 pages, 5 figure

We examine the potential of pp-> p gamma p -> p W q X reaction to probe anomalous WWgamma couplings at the LHC. We find 95% confidence level bounds on the anomalous coupling parameters with various values of the integrated luminosity. Top Quark Spin Polarization in e \gamma Collision

We investigate the degree of spin polarization of single top quarks in the eγe\gamma collision via the process e+γ→tbˉνeˉe^{+} \gamma \to t \bar{b} \bar{\nu_{e}} with center of mass energies s\sqrt{s}=0.5, 1 and 1.5 TeV of the parental linear e+e−e^{+}e^{-} collider. Dominant spin fractions and spin asymmetries for the various top quark spin bases are investigated. We show that e+e^{+}-beam direction is the favorite top quark spin decomposition axis. It is found to be comparable with the ones in pppp and epep collisions.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

WZWZ Production at eγe\gamma Colliders and Anomalous Quartic WWZγWWZ\gamma Coupling

We investigate the constraints on the anomalous quartic W+W−ZγW^{+}W^{-}Z\gamma gauge boson coupling through the process e−γ→νeW−Ze^{-}\gamma\to \nu_{e}W^{-}Z. Considering incoming beam polarizations and the longitudinal and transverse polarization states of the final W and Z boson we find 95% confidence level limits on the anomalous coupling parameter ana_{n} with an integrated luminosity of 500 fb−1fb^{-1} and s\sqrt{s}=0.5, 1 TeV energies. We show that initial beam and final state polarizations improve the sensitivity to the anomalous coupling by up to factors of 2 - 3.5 depending on the energy.Comment: published versio

Anomalous Quartic WWγγWW\gamma\gamma and ZZγγZZ\gamma\gamma Couplings in eγe\gamma Collision With Initial Beams and Final State Polarizations

The constraints on the anomalous quartic WWγγWW\gamma\gamma and ZZγγZZ\gamma\gamma gauge boson couplings are investigated through the processes eγ→W−γνee\gamma\to W^{-}\gamma\nu_{e} and eγ→Zγee\gamma\to Z\gamma e. Considering the longitudinal and transverse polarization states of the final W or Z boson and incoming beam polarizations we find 95% confidence level limits on the anomalous coupling parameters a0a_{0} and aca_{c} with an integrated luminosity of 500 fb−1fb^{-1} and s\sqrt{s}=0.5, 1 TeV energies. Assuming the W+W−γγW^{+}W^{-}\gamma\gamma couplings are independent of the ZZγγZZ\gamma\gamma couplings we show that the longitudinal polarization state of the final gauge boson improves the sensitivity to anomalous couplings by a factor of 2-3 depending on energy and coupling. An extra enhancement in sensitivity by a factor of 1.3 comes from a set of initial beam polarizations

The effect of electromagnetic properties of neutrinos on the photon-neutrino decoupling temperature

We examine the impact of electromagnetic properties of neutrinos on the annihilation of relic neutrinos with ultra high energy cosmic neutrinos for the ννˉ→γγ\nu \bar{\nu}\to \gamma\gamma process. For this process, photon-neutrino decoupling temperature is calculated via effective lagrangian model beyond the standard model. We find that photon-neutrino decoupling temperature can be importantly reduced below the QCD phase transition with the model independent analysis defining electromagnetic properties of neutrinos.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figures, published versio

An Iterative Cyclic Algorithm for Designing Vaccine Distribution Networks in Low and Middle-Income Countries

The World Health Organization's Expanded Programme on Immunization (WHO-EPI) was developed to ensure that all children have access to common childhood vaccinations. Unfortunately, because of inefficient distribution networks and cost constraints, millions of children in many low and middle-income countries still go without being vaccinated. In this paper, we formulate a mathematical programming model for the design of a typical WHO-EPI network with the goal of minimizing costs while providing the opportunity for universal coverage. Since it is only possible to solve small versions of the model optimally, we describe an iterative heuristic that cycles between solving restrictions of the original problem and show that it can find very good solutions in reasonable time for larger problems that are not directly solvable.Comment: International Joint Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management- ABEPRO-ADINGOR-IISE-AIM-ASEM (IJCIEOM 2019). International Conference on Computational and Experimental Science and Engineering (ICCESEN) -- OCT 25-29, 2014 -- Antalya, TURKEYsahin, mustafa ergin/0000-0002-5121-6173WOS: 000363011700070It is not wrong to say that wave energy will be one of the most important energy sources to be used in the future, when it is thought that three-quarters of the world is covered by water. the initial investment and maintenance costs are the only expenses, beside not any price have to be paid for the primary energy. the wave energy does not leave any contaminants, as well as it is cheap, clean, environmentally, friendly and a great energy sources. in this study, wave energy converter system which has a four poles linear generator is discussed. the Linear generator model has been designed and created as a portable model. the results obtained from this model were examined

Unparticle Physics in the Moller Scattering

We investigate the virtual effects of vector unparticles in the Moller scattering. We derive the analytic expression for scattering amplitudes with unpolarized beams. We obtain 95% confidence level limits on the unparticle couplings λV\lambda_{V} and λA\lambda_{A} with integrated luminosity of Lint=50,500fb−1L_{int}=50, 500 fb^{-1} and s=100,300\sqrt{s}=100, 300 and 500 GeV energies. We show that limits on λV\lambda_{V} are more sensitive than λA\lambda_{A}.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, 4 table
