Maxakalisaurus topai: a importância que o paleovertebrado representou para os acervos museológicos

The present work highlights the representativeness of Maxakalisaurus topai (Dinoprata) inserted in the Brazilian museological scenario. In parallel to the significance of the fossil discovered in the national territory is articulated the heritage education, which is inserted as an instrument of awareness to the paleontological heritage, implementing the discussion on the field of learning and playfulness. The debate expands to museum-society communication, presenting "living" narratives that perpetuate the stories of dinosaur fossils to an educational process. The methodology applied for the research was carried out through literature review and descriptive analysis.O presente trabalho destaca a representatividade do Maxakalisaurus topai (Dinoprata) inserido no cenário museológico brasileiro. Paralelamente ao significado do fóssil descoberto em território nacional é articulada a educação patrimonial, que se insere como instrumento de sensibilização para o patrimônio paleontológico, implantando a discussão sobre o campo do aprendizado e o lúdico. O debate se amplia para a comunicação do museu – sociedade, apresentando narrativas “vivas” que perpetuam as histórias dos fósseis de dinossauros a um processo educativo. A metodologia aplicada para a pesquisa foi realizada através da revisão bibliográfica e análise descritiva.

Efeitos do distanciamento social na qualidade do ar na cidade de São Paulo durante a pandemia do coronavírus / Effects of social distancing on air quality in the city of São Paulo during the coronavirus pandemic

Com a pandemia do coronavírus assolando todo o globo terrestre, algumas situações do cotidiano foram afetadas sobremaneira. O isolamento social proporcionou uma diminuição da poluição, melhorando a qualidade do ar de uma forma geral. Este trabalho objetiva analisar os índices de poluição da cidade de São Paulo, comparando os anos de 2019 e 2020. Através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica em sites e documentos oficiais de referência e de domínio público, aplicou-se um estudo de comparação dos indicadores para conhecer os reais efeitos da pandemia sobre a qualidade do ar na grande metrópole alvo. Os dados encontrados através da pesquisa evidenciam uma redução significativa nos principais poluentes, como decorrência da diminuição do uso de transportes públicos na cidade

LEAN E-HEALTH CARE: ITS PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT BASED ON BRAZILIAN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CASE STUDY

This paper aims to demonstrate how simple initiatives on public health sector are able to improve quality on service level. One of the most important aspects considered on this case study was the potential and motivation within University Hospital IT team to achieve excellence. Thus, management improvement started from quality management techniques applied by IT members to enhance results. This qualitative study case based on quality program deployed comparative analysis from literature to hospital IT management real initiatives. Results contribution demonstrate that inclusion and the development of collaborative workgroups can make difference to work environment and quality of service

Responsabilidade socioambiental: um olhar ético na formação de engenheiros

As decisões empresariais apresentam interferências sociais relacionadas ao sistema social global e não devem ser tomadas com base somente em fatores econômicos. A Responsabilidade Social Corporativa (RSC) tornou-se um dos principais focos de interesse dos profissionais de desenvolvimento nos últimos anos. Este trabalho objetivou identificar as informações acerca da Responsabilidade SocioAmbiental baseados em preceitos éticos e focado para o bem estar social, onde integram o poder público, as empresas e as comunidades. A metodologia de pesquisa de natureza qualitativa baseou-se na utilização do método do estudo de caso múltiplos, tendo como objeto de estudo o Centro de Educação Física Almirante Adalberto Nunes (CEFAN) e o Colégio Estadual Erich Walter Heine. Os resultados demonstraram que ambas as Instituições obtiveram certificações (RSC), onde a área de engenharia proporcionou ao estabelecimento de construções sustentáveis capazes de reduzir o consumo de energia elétrica e de água. Além disso, proporcionou uma ênfase na importância da consciência ambiental com a integração da sociedade, dentre os estudantes destas instituições que são beneficiadas com as parcerias

Circular Economy in higher education ınstitutions: lessons learned from Brazıl-Colombıa network

Goal: this paper goal is presenting sustainability experiences using Life Cycle Assessment perspective in two Latin America higher education institutions (HEI). What similarities do these HEI have in common regarding sustainability? What are the major challenges they face? In which way is Circular Economy effective on university campuses? Since universities face challenges posed by a changing and competitive environment, there ought to be sustainable management that is more appropriate to higher education institutions’ real environment, which is characterized by complexity, paradoxes, ambiguities, and conflicts. Methodology/Approach: Multiple Case Study. A resilience threshold of global ecosystem should be considered. Ecosystem dynamics require effort in mapping its functions. Results: the results considered that the difference between environmental approach failure and success lies in knowing how to realign their strategic plans. Limitations of the investigation: comparing private and public HEI and different levels of education (technical, undergraduate and graduate courses). Practical implication: the practical implication leads to an understanding that Circular Economy in HEI can be perceived as a guideline to innovation towards a more sustainable economy. Originality/value: the originality/value of this work is the ability of enabling scientists to empathize with both Brazıl and Colombia’s LCA perspectives in HEI

Issues and trends on sustainable transportation: the case of Brazilian cities (2003-2010)

Brazilian transport system accounts for negative externalities in terms of energy consumption, carbon dioxide, local pollution emissions, social costs and infrastructure expenditures. These elements results on unsustainable mobility system. Resources usage is considerable and trend lines depict growing concerns in the following years. Brazilian cities continuous expansion increasing passenger mobility demand as well as social improvements (including C social level group) combined with public transportation low quality causes exponential increments on external transport system costs. For methodological means, the Brazilian cities case study was based on documental and literature research within public administration in Brazil. Therefore, this paper purpose is to present external costs and urban transportation tendencies in Brazil. Research data states significant growth in public infrastructure expenditures provoked by exaggerated energy consumption in the last years. In conclusion, based on literature and the aforementioned data basis, it can be inferred that sustainable transport system relies on public transportation. Pursuing such scenario will lead Brazilian cities to save relevant amount of financial and natural resources

LEAN MANUFACTURING IN HEALTHCARE: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF LITERATURE

The healthcare environment aims at improving and quality in health management, with trends and practices in hospitals, institutions, clinics, laboratories and companies in this segment, with the purpose of bringing more comfort and better conditions in the care of patients. Faced with the difficulties of this area, it becomes increasingly important to reduce waste and improve processes. The goal of this paper is to carry out a systematic review of literature on the topic lean manufacturing in healthcare. The data were obtained from four online databases Web of Science, Science Direct, Emerald Insight and Scopus. Articles indexed in the last 10 years were selected (2006-2016). To select articles, an advanced search was performed using the Boolean expression "E" that combined keywords for better specific results. Professionals working in the health segment will have the concepts and applied techniques, in addition to the work indexed in recent years, which will facilitate the research and development of the work, translating into increased efficiency and ultimately, improvement for the population. Despite the importance of the theme, there are few lean manufacturing jobs applied in the healthcare environment. This research  can  stimulate future studies due to its applicability for the improvement of health services

Sustainability and green marketing challenge: Brazilian brewing industry case study

Goal: Understand the environmental impact of brewing industry activities in Brazil. Design/Methodology/Approach: Discusses the model of production and consumption tied to the brewing market within the environmental debate. By bibliographical research, qualitative approach, case study. The case study data was collected within a three-month period on Ambev’s sustainability program analysis. Limitations: Enterprise’s confidentiality. Some documents could not be reached. Results: This study clarify that Ambev’s sustainability program does not meet its own objectives and statements as it does not effectively contribute to sustainability. Practical Implications: This article’s value resides in revealing Ambev’s greenwashing strategies deepening the effects of environmental crisis worldwide. Originality/Value: This study arises a critical thinking regarding big companies sustainability initiatives lacking real environmental concern

Qual é o perfil do profissional de inovação digital no Brasil? Product Manager no processo de desenvolvimento em empresas SAAS / What is the profile of the digital innovation professional in Brazil? Product Manager in the development process in SAAS companies

Este trabalho como objeto de estudo profissionais denominados Product Manager e tem como objetivo analisar quais são suas práticas e habilidades no exercício da profissão. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa a partir de uma rede social para identificação de indivíduos que se identificassem no perfil de Product Manager. Por meio de questionários online para estes profissionais a coleta de dados foi realizada entre os meses de março e maio de 2021. Após tratamento dos dados, foram obtidas 74 respostas válidas. Com base nas respostas, foi possível identificar perfil deste profissional de inovação digital, constatar a importância de habilidades socioemocionais serem fundamentais para exercer a profissão e identificar que ainda são utilizadas metodologias tradicionais para gerenciamento de tarefas

Maker education and anthropocene: Brazilian and Colombian ecologization / Educação Maker e antropoceno: ecologização no intercâmbio Brasil-Colômbia

The use of natural resources on our planet must be addressed on the environmental agendas of all governments. In this period known as Anthropocene, global warming is critical to the 21st century environmental agenda, affecting biogeochemical cycles and planetary biodiversity. Education is a key factor in scientific information and debate on the ecological crisis. Maker education is used in greening approach with renewable materials. This case study presents initiatives from the Brazilian Professional and Technological Education. The results are analyzed in cooperation with Colombian researchers, amplifying initiatives for greening approach in educational institutions in both countries
