Past and possible future of the LahĂłca mine, Recsk, Hungary - a historical review
Epitermálne zlatonosnĂ© zrudnenia sa viau k takĂ˝m hydrotermálnym systĂ©mom, v ktorĂ˝ch sa minerály, obsahujĂşce zlato, objavujĂş v hĺbke 1-2 km pod povrchom. Epitermálne Cu-Au nosnĂ© loisko v Recsku (Maďarsko) sa priestorovo a geneticky viae k recsskĂ©mu eocĂ©nnemu porfyrickĂ©mu systĂ©mu.
Mineralogy of gold and the characteristics of host rock in the Podpolom (Klokoè) high sulfidation type epithermal deposit
A platinafémek előfordulása a Darnó-öv és környezetének mezozóos és paleogén korú magmás kőzeteiben = Occurrence of platinum group elements in the magmatic rocks of Mesozoic and Palaeogene age in the Darnó belt and its surroundings
Kutatásaink során a DarnĂłi-egysĂ©g triász korĂş szubmarin bazaltos kifejlĹ‘dĂ©seit összehasonlĂtottuk a Dinaridák hasonlĂł jellegű Ă©s korĂş földtani kĂ©pzĹ‘dmĂ©nyeinek vulkanolĂłgiai, ásványtani-kĹ‘zettani Ă©s a geokĂ©miai jellemzĹ‘ivel. EredmĂ©nyeink arra utalnak, hogy a sajátos vulkanizmus a Neo-Tethys Ăłceán riftesedĂ©si folyamatának elĹ‘rehaladott állapotában ment vĂ©gbe. GeokĂ©miai adataink megerĹ‘sĂtettĂ©k, Ă©s tovább árnyalták a DarnĂłi-egysĂ©g Ă©s a SzarvaskĹ‘i-egysĂ©g párnaláváinak Ă©s intruzĂv kifejlĹ‘dĂ©seinek eltĂ©rĹ‘ petrogenetikáját. A SzavaskĹ‘i-egysĂ©g jura korát Ar-Ar mĂłdszerrel vĂ©gzett Ăşjabb korhatározás alapján megerĹ‘sĂtettĂĽk. Kimutattuk, hogy a SzarvaskĹ‘i-egysĂ©g gabbrĂłjának kristályosodását magmás fluidum szegregáciĂłja kĂsĂ©rte. GeokĂ©miai vizsgálataink azonban csak a bazaltos párnaláva kifejlĹ‘dĂ©sekben találtak csekĂ©ly Pt, Pd Ă©s Ir anomáliát (1-70 ppb). Pd-anomáliák (1-2 ppb) a DarnĂłi-egysĂ©g bazaltos kĂ©pzĹ‘dmĂ©nyeiben is elĹ‘fordulnak. A paleogĂ©n korĂş Recski Magmás Komplexum vulkáni sorozataiban Ăşj Ă©rchordozĂł szerkezeteket határoztunk meg Ă©s ezekben a Pt, Pd Ă©s Ru tized ppm nagyságrendű koncentráciĂłit találtuk. | Comparative studies on volcanology, mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry of the submarine basaltic formations of the DarnĂł unit and similar units of the Dinarides have been completed in the frame of the research project. Results suggest that this peculiar volcanism took place in the advanced rifting stage of the Neo-Tethyan Ocean. Results of geochemical studies confirm the different petrogenesis of pillow basalts and intrusive rocks in the SzaravaskĹ‘ Unit. The Jurassic age of magmatism in the SzarvaskĹ‘ unit was confirmed by new Ar-Ar age determinations. Magmatic fluid segregation processes in relation to crystallization of gabbro in the SzarcvaskĹ‘ unit was also stuied. However, geochemical analyses fund small Pt, Pd Ă©s Ir anomalies (1-70 ppb) in the basaltic rocks of this unit only. Occurrences of geochemical anomalies of Pd (1-2 ppb) was also found in the basalts of the DarnĂł unit. In the volcanic sequences of the Recsk Magmatic Complex of Palaeogene age, new hydrothermal ore structures were defined and enrichments of Pt, Pd Ru in the order of tenths of ppm were detected. Results of research prove that hydrothermal processes are capable to mobilize platinum group metals. The secondary enrichments of these metals were formed in hydrothermnal systems characterized by high salinities of solutions
Geology of the historical Bodrogköz
Abstract
The Bodrogköz is predominantly a flat area surrounded by the rivers Tisza, Bodrog and Latorica. The Hungarian-Slovakian border cuts it into two parts; consequently, the geologic data in the two countries are different in terms of scale and in approach. The authors harmonized the different data on the two sides and created a unified geologic database for the entire area. The Bodrogköz is part of the depression at the northeastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain. It is covered mostly by Quaternary formations but in the Slovakian part there are smaller outcrops of Permian formations and Miocene volcanics
The KINDRA project. A tool for sharing Europe’s groundwater research and knowledge
Hydrogeology-related research activities cover a wide spectrum of research areas at EU and national levels. The KINDRA project (Knowledge Inventory for hydrogeology
research, Grant Agreement No. 642047) seeks to create a critical mass for scientific knowledge exchange of hydrogeological research, to ensure wide applicability on research results - including support for innovation and development - and to reduce unnecessary duplication of efforts. A new terminology and classification methodology for groundwater R&D results and activities (Hydrogeological Research Classification System: HRC-SYS) has been developed based on a hierarchical structure using keywords derived from EU directives and scientific journals. This classification allows the population of a European Inventory of Groundwater Research (EIGR) of research results, activities, projects, and programmes to be used to identify critical research challenges and gaps, for better implementation of the Water Framework Directive
