Enhancing Organizational Performance by Knowledge Sharing
Knowledge management can be regarded as one of the key processes of organizational learning. It is well accepted that learning organizations can enhance their capability and hence competitiveness and performance through learning. Recognizing the importance of knowledge management, researchers are interested in exploring knowledge sharing activities because such activities are the cornerstone of other knowledge management activities. It is argued that a fundamental purpose of managing knowledge is to establish a shared context in organizations. As such, what factors affect interpersonal knowledge sharing and how they affect interpersonal knowledge sharing in organizations are critical and worth noting. A preliminary model from an organizational behavior perspective is proposed which will serve as the framework for further study
Direct CP violation in two-body hadronic charmed meson decays
Motivated by the recent observation of CP violation in the charm sector by
LHCb, we study direct CP asymmetries in the standard model (SM) for the singly
Cabibbo-suppressed two-body hadronic decays of charmed mesons using the
topological-diagram approach. In this approach, the magnitude and the phase of
topological weak annihilation amplitudes which arise mainly from final-state
rescattering can be extracted from the data. Consequently, direct CP asymmetry
at tree level can be reliably estimated. In general, it
lies in the range . Short-distance QCD
penguins and penguin annihilation are calculated using QCD factorization. Their
effects are generally small, especially for modes. Since weak penguin
annihilation receives long-distance contributions from the color-allowed tree
amplitude followed by final-state rescattering, it is expected to give the
dominant contribution to the direct CP violation in the decays
and in which is absent. The maximal
, the direct CP asymmetry difference between the
above-mentioned two modes, allowed in the SM is around -0.25%, more than

Analysis of Two-Body Decays of Charmed Baryons Using the Quark-Diagram Scheme
We give a general formulation of the quark-diagram scheme for the nonleptonic
weak decays of baryons. We apply it to all the decays of the antitriplet and
sextet charmed baryons and express their decay amplitudes in terms of the
quark-diagram amplitudes. We have also given parametrizations for the effects
of final-state interactions. For SU(3) violation effects, we only parametrize
those in the horizontal -loop quark diagrams whose contributions are solely
due to SU(3)-violation effects. In the absence of all these effects, there are
many relations among various decay modes. Some of the relations are valid even
in the presence of final-state interactions when each decay amplitude in the
relation contains only a single phase shift. All these relations provide useful
frameworks to compare with future experiments and to find out the effects of
final-state interactions and SU(3) symmetry violations.Comment: 28 pages, 20 Tables in landscape form, 4 figures. Main changes are:

The impact of defamilisation measures on gender and pensions: A comparison between the UK and seven other European countries
This article uses individual-based and state-led care-focused defamilisation indices to explore women's employment opportunities and experiences and their implications for pension contributions. These two types of defamilisation indices are applied to eight European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the UK) which shows that the UK has less generous defamilisation measures than its European counterparts. It indicates that the use of defamilisation measures along with pension policies which are not based on the male breadwinner ideology have the capacity to moderate economic inequalities between men and women in older age
Flavor SU(3) symmetry and QCD factorization in and decays
Using flavor SU(3) symmetry, we perform a model-independent analysis of
charmless decays. All the relevant
topological diagrams, including the presumably subleading diagrams, such as the
QCD- and EW-penguin exchange diagrams and flavor-singlet weak annihilation
ones, are introduced. Indeed, the QCD-penguin exchange diagram turns out to be
important in understanding the data for penguin-dominated decay modes. In this
work we make efforts to bridge the (model-independent but less quantitative)
topological diagram or flavor SU(3) approach and the (quantitative but somewhat
model-dependent) QCD factorization (QCDF) approach in these decays, by
explicitly showing how to translate each flavor SU(3) amplitude into the
corresponding terms in the QCDF framework. After estimating each flavor SU(3)
amplitude numerically using QCDF, we discuss various physical consequences,
including SU(3) breaking effects and some useful SU(3) relations among decay

CP violation and CKM phases from angular distributions for decays into admixtures of CP eigenstates
We investigate the time-evolutions of angular distributions for decays
into final states that are admixtures of CP-even and CP-odd configurations. A
sizable lifetime difference between the mass eigenstates allows a probe
of CP violation in time-dependent untagged angular distributions. Interference
effects between different final state configurations of , determine the Wolfenstein parameter from
untagged data samples, or -- if one uses as an additional
input -- the notoriously difficult to measure CKM angle . Another
determination of is possible by using isospin symmetry of strong
interactions to relate untagged data samples of
and . We note that the untagged angular
distribution for provides interesting information about

Quantum Convolutional Error Correction Codes
I report two general methods to construct quantum convolutional codes for
quantum registers with internal states. Using one of these methods, I
construct a quantum convolutional code of rate 1/4 which is able to correct one

The missing group? Situating transnational contacts in defamilisation research
Defamilisation research is increasingly seen as an important component of studies of welfare and social work. It is concerned with people’s vulnerability to defamilisation risks, which are caused by insufficient opportunities for people to choose whether and how they participate in the family. Despite an increasing emphasis on defamilisation research, there has been insufficient attention given to how studies of transnational contacts contribute to defamilisation research. This article argues for the need to expand the scope of defamilisation research to incorporate the concept of ‘transnational contact-led strategies’ using evidence from focus groups with Chinese older people in the United Kingdom
Good Quantum Convolutional Error Correction Codes And Their Decoding Algorithm Exist
Quantum convolutional code was introduced recently as an alternative way to
protect vital quantum information. To complete the analysis of quantum
convolutional code, I report a way to decode certain quantum convolutional
codes based on the classical Viterbi decoding algorithm. This decoding
algorithm is optimal for a memoryless channel. I also report three simple
criteria to test if decoding errors in a quantum convolutional code will
terminate after a finite number of decoding steps whenever the Hilbert space
dimension of each quantum register is a prime power. Finally, I show that
certain quantum convolutional codes are in fact stabilizer codes. And hence,
these quantum stabilizer convolutional codes have fault-tolerant

Observation of Kelvin–Helmholtz instabilities and gravity waves in the summer mesopause above Andenes in Northern Norway
We present observations obtained with the Middle Atmosphere Alomar Radar System (MAARSY) to investigate short-period wave-like features using polar mesospheric summer echoes (PMSEs) as a tracer for the neutral dynamics. We conducted a multibeam experiment including 67 different beam directions during a 9-day campaign in June 2013. We identified two Kelvin–Helmholtz instability (KHI) events from the signal morphology of PMSE. The MAARSY observations are complemented by collocated meteor radar wind data to determine the mesoscale gravity wave activity and the vertical structure of the wind field above the PMSE. The KHIs occurred in a strong shear flow with Richardson numbers Ri <0.25. In addition, we observed 15 wave-like events in our MAARSY multibeam observations applying a sophisticated decomposition of the radial velocity measurements using volume velocity processing. We retrieved the horizontal wavelength, intrinsic frequency, propagation direction, and phase speed from the horizontally resolved wind variability for 15 events. These events showed horizontal wavelengths between 20 and 40km, vertical wavelengths between 5 and 10km, and rather high intrinsic phase speeds between 45 and 85ms−1 with intrinsic periods of 5–10min
