Implementation of Library 2.0 Application: Lesson Learnt from Indonesian Library and Librarian

    Get PDF
Despite Web 2.0 application achieving impressive growth over the last decade, the application of Web 2.0 in library, which is known as Library 2.0 concept, has received less implication than Web 2.0, particularly in Indonesia Library. This article makes an attempt to show and analyze the implementation of Library 2.0 in Indonesia compared with Global implementation of Library 2.0, whilst scrutinizing the existing literature that covers the implementation of library 2.0 in Indonesia and globally. More specifically, this article examines the implementation of Library 2.0 from 2006 to 2016 and that why Indonesian library did not yet enjoy the full benefit of Library 2.0 as other regions or nations. It finds that although there were great opportunities from internet users in Indonesia, library Indonesia still struggled to take all the benefits from the implementation of library 2.0 in Indonesia.     Keywords: Web 2.0, library 2.0, Indonesia, social media, librar

Formulation of Liquorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza Glabra L.) as Skin Whitening Cream

Liquorice root extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) contains glabridin, an isoflavane as inhibitors of tyrosinase. This enzyme is responsible in melanin synthesis. The aim of this research was to determine the tyrosinase inhibition activity of liquorice root extract and to formulate into a cream with a variety of emulsifier agent glyceryl monostearate. Liquorice root was macerated using ethanol 96%, invitro tyrosinase inhibition assay was conducted using kojic acid as positive control in 96-well plate. The physical quality parameters of the cream were also evaluated. The results showed that liquorice root extract inhibits tyrosinase with the IC50 126.75 µg/mL. Creams containing 1.01% liquorice root extract were yellowish white, aromatics odour, soft texture, homogen and no segregation in O/W emulsion type. It also showed plastic thixotropic rheological property, viscosity of (2800±0.00) – (4000±0.00) Ps, spreadability of (3029.72±0.81) – (3531.79±6.15)mm2, droplet size of (60.00±0.00) – (65.12±0.01)μm, pH of (4.55±0.03)–(4.63±0.04) and inhibited tyrosinase 10.14 - 19.30%. It can be concluded that the formula with 0.1% of glyceryl monostearate was the best formula that conforms physical quality test and potentially to be developed as a skin whitening cream

New Perturbed Proximal Point Algorithms for Set-valued Quasi Variational Inclusions

    Get PDF
In this paper, by using some new and innovative techniques, some perturbed iterative algorithms for solving generalized set-valued variational inclusions are suggested and analyzed. Since the generalized set-valued variational inclusions include many variational inclusions , variational inequalities and set-valued operator equation studied by others in recent years, the results obtained in this paper continue to hold for them and represent a significant refinement and improvement of the previously known results in this area

A Picard-S Iterative Scheme for Approximating Fixed Point of Weak-Contraction Mappings

We study the convergence analysis of a Picard-S iteration method for a particular class of weak-contraction mappings. Furthermore, we prove a data dependence result for fixed point of the class of weak-contraction mappings with the help of the Picard-S iteration methods

A multi-scale approach for the optimum design of sandwich plates with honeycomb core. Part I: homogenisation of core properties

    Get PDF
This work deals with the problem of the optimum design of a sandwich panel. The design process is based on a general two-level optimisation strategy involving different scales: the meso-scale for both the unit cell of the core and the constitutive layer of the laminated skins and the macro-scale for the whole panel. Concerning the meso-scale of the honeycomb core, an appropriate model of the unit cell able to properly provide its effective elastic properties (to be used at the macro-scale) must be conceived. To this purpose, in this first paper, we present the numerical homogenisation technique as well as the related finite element model of the unit cell which makes use of solid elements instead of the usual shell ones. A numerical study to determine the effective properties of the honeycomb along with a comparison with existing models and a sensitive analysis in terms of the geometric parameters of the unit cell have been conducted. Numerical results show that shell-based models are no longer adapted to evaluate the core properties, mostly in the context of an optimisation procedure where the parameters of the unit cell can get values that go beyond the limits imposed by a 2D model

On Hadamard Type Integral Inequalities for nonconvex Functions

In this paper, we extend some estimates of the right and left hand side of a Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for nonconvex functions whose derivatives absolute values are \Phi-convex and quasi-\Phi-convex was introduced by Noor in Noor1.Comment: Mathematical Sciences And Applications E-Notes, in press. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1204.0923; and overlap with arXiv:1205.6657 by other author
