Analysis of Green Computing Strategy in University: Analytic Network Process (ANP) Approach

Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis do not provide an analytical means to determine the importance of the identified factors of green computing strategy and implementation. Although the SWOT analysis successfully explores the factors, individual factors are usually described very generally. For this reason, SWOT analysis possesses deficiencies in the measurement and evaluation of green computing steps. Even though the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique eliminates these deficiencies, it does not allow for measuring the possible dependencies among the individual factors. The AHP method assumes that the green computing factors presented in the hierarchical structure are independent; however, this assumption may be inappropriate in light of certain situation. Therefore, it is important to utilize a form of SWOT analysis that calculates and takes into account the possible dependency among the factors. This paper demonstrates a process for quantitative SWOT analysis of green computing implementation that can be performed even when there is dependence among strategic factors. The proposed algorithm uses the analytic network process (ANP), which allows measurement of the dependency among the green computing implementation factors, as well as AHP, which is based on the independence between the factors. There are four alternatives: campus awareness program, computer procurement, increase in heat removal requirement, and increase in equipment power density for improving the implementation of green computing in campus. Dependency among the SWOT factors is observed to effect the strategic and sub-factor weights, as well as to change the strategy priorities. Based on ANC method, the best alternative for this implementation is computer procurement

Determining the location of bank branch offices is a policy that must be taken to respond to challenges and changes in the long term, so an in-depth analysis is needed to choose the right location. Ranking is done based on the weight of the sub-criteria that have been processed using the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) method. Weight calculations are also based on dependencies, both inner and outer dependencies. The existence of interrelationships between sub-criteria with one another makes the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) method more complex than other decision-making techniques. Based on the calculation of the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) method, the weight of each sub-criteria is obtained, namely the population of 8.62%, population density of 12.95%, land area of 4.65%, security facilities of 24.65%, availability of public utilities of 2.62%, location distance to settlements of 12.53%, the closest distance between fellow branches of 33.09%, and the number of competitors of 0.90%. Keywords: Bank location determination, Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP), fuzzy, analytic network process, inner dependence

Component based software development (CBSD) endeavors to deliver cost-effective and quality software systems through the selection and integration of commercially available software components. CBSD emphasizes the design and development of software systems using preexisting components. Software component reusability is an indispensable part of component based software development life cycle (CBSDLC),which consumes a significant amount of organization’s resources, that is, time and effort. It is convenient in component based software system (CBSS) to select the most suitable and appropriate software components that provide all the required functionalities. Selecting the most appropriate components is crucial for the success of the entire system. However, decisions regarding software component reusability are often made in an ad hoc manner, which ultimately results in schedule delay and lowers the entire quality system. In this paper, we have discussed the analytic network process (ANP) method for software component selection. The methodology is explained and assessed using a real life case study

5Cs Analysis policy are extension of credit principles for banking industry. At PT. Bank Riau Kepri Domestic Branch Rumbai, Pekanbaru, this analysis are main principles for credit implementation for new client and beside that five analysis, PT. Bank Riau Kepri used The Letter of Management Decision No. 96/ KEPDIR/2009 as it orientation too. This research are purpose to knowing about 5Cs analysis policy implementation by using analytic network process (ANP) method. In this research, the data used are primary data. Primary data was obtained from indepth interview with expert and practitioners that have more experiences about 5Cs Analysis policy. Then, they have to answer some questioner at second meeting. The results show that from the five analysis policy instrument which character, capital, capacity, collateral and condition of economy is character. Character is main appraisal principles in 5Cs analysis policy implementation. It showed that between expert/ academics and practitioners relatively dissents in their opinion related appraisal the 5Cs analysis policy at PT. Bank Riau Kepri domestic branch Rumbai, Pekanbaru.Keyword : Policy Analysis, 5Cs Analysis,
