We give an updated summary of the topics covered in Working Group I of the 2nd Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle, with emphasis on the results obtained since the 1st CKM Workshop. The topics covered include the measurement of |V_{ub}|, of |V_{cb}| and of non-perturbative Heavy Quark Expansion parameters, and the determination of b-hadron lifetimes and lifetime differences.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures. Based on Working Group I's summary talk given by L.L. for the group's convenors (Elisabetta Barberio (SMU), Lawrence Gibbons (Cornell), Toru Iijima (Nagoya), L.L.) at the 2nd Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle, IPPP Durham, 5-9 April, 200

A summary report is given of the activities of the device modeling workshop which was held as a part of the Space Photovoltaic Research and Technology Conference at the Lewis Research Center, October 7 to 9, 1986. The purpose of this workshop was to access the status of solar cell device modeling to see if it is meeting present and future needs of the photovoltaic community

Contact Interaction Searches at the Linear Collider: Energy, Luminosity and Positron Polarization Dependencies

Many types of new physics can lead to contact interaction-like modifications in e+ee^+e^- processes below direct production threshold. This report summarizes a survey of contact interaction search reaches at the Linear Collider as functions of energy, luminosity and positron polarization. The various tradeoffs between these quantities in such searches are examined in detail.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figs, LaTex. Summary of a talk given at the American Linear Collider Workshop, the University of Texas, Arlington, Jan. 9-11, 200
