A Primal-Dual Approach of Weak Vector Equilibrium Problems
In this paper we provide some new sufficient conditions that ensure the
existence of the solution of a weak vector equilibrium problem in Hausdorff
topological vector spaces ordered by a cone. Further, we introduce a dual
problem and we provide conditions that assure the solution set of the original
problem and its dual coincide. We show that many known problems from the
literature can be treated in our primal-dual model. We provide several
coercivity conditions in order to obtain solution existence of the primal-dual
problems without compactness assumption. We pay a special attention to the case
when the base space is a reflexive Banach space. We apply the results obtained
to perturbed vector equilibrium problems.Comment: 20 page
Theory and Application of Fixed Point
In the past few decades, several interesting problems have been solved using fixed point theory. In addition to classical ordinary differential equations and integral equation, researchers also focus on fractional differential equations (FDE) and fractional integral equations (FIE). Indeed, FDE and FIE lead to a better understanding of several physical phenomena, which is why such differential equations have been highly appreciated and explored. We also note the importance of distinct abstract spaces, such as quasi-metric, b-metric, symmetric, partial metric, and dislocated metric. Sometimes, one of these spaces is more suitable for a particular application. Fixed point theory techniques in partial metric spaces have been used to solve classical problems of the semantic and domain theory of computer science. This book contains some very recent theoretical results related to some new types of contraction mappings defined in various types of spaces. There are also studies related to applications of the theoretical findings to mathematical models of specific problems, and their approximate computations. In this sense, this book will contribute to the area and provide directions for further developments in fixed point theory and its applications
Optimization and Equilibrium Problems with Equilibrium Constraints in Infinite-Dimensional Spaces
The paper is devoted to applications of modern variational f).nalysis to the study of constrained optimization and equilibrium problems in infinite-dimensional spaces. We pay a particular attention to the remarkable classes of optimization and equilibrium problems identified as MPECs (mathematical programs with equilibrium constraints) and EPECs (equilibrium problems with equilibrium constraints) treated from the viewpoint of multiobjective optimization. Their underlying feature is that the major constraints are governed by parametric generalized equations/variational conditions in the sense of Robinson. Such problems are intrinsically nonsmooth and can be handled by using an appropriate machinery of generalized differentiation exhibiting a rich/full calculus. The case of infinite-dimensional spaces is significantly more involved in comparison with finite dimensions, requiring in addition a certain sufficient amount of compactness and an efficient calculus of the corresponding sequential normal compactness (SNC) properties
