The effect of cloud computing adoption on the sustainability of e-government services: A review
The environment in which public organizations exist changed.Trends such as demographic change, environmental pressures and technological innovation have created significant challenges to how public organizations do their business. Accordingly, public organizations need to have innovative strategies to tackle today鈥檚 business environment by adopting sustainable business practices. Sustainability governance needs scalable and interoperable technology platform to support analyzing, integration, sharing and monitoring different types of data and sustainability measurements. Cloud computing is the potential candidate platform to support sustainability governance. It gives agility to business and provides a platform for sustainable business with improved services, better environment and resource management. This research revisits the related concepts, and provides an analysis of the previous researches to identify the gap of incorporating cloud computing as a platform of developing sustainable e-services. Results show that research on the role of cloud computing in ensuring provision of sustainable e-government services still scarce.There is a lack of research addresses the challenges in government projects and developing more sustainable e-government services by selecting and applying the appropriate cloud model

184 p.El objetivo del trabajo de investigaci贸n presentado en esta tesis es facilitar a los desarrolladores y operadores de aplicaciones desplegadas en m煤ltiples Nubes el descubrimiento y la gesti贸n de los diferentes servicios de Computaci贸n, soportando su reutilizaci贸n y combinaci贸n, para generar una red de servicios interoperables, que cumplen con las leyes y cuyos acuerdos de nivel de servicio pueden ser evaluados de manera continua. Una de las contribuciones de esta tesis es el dise帽o y desarrollo de un br贸ker de servicios de Computaci贸n llamado ACSmI (Advanced Cloud Services meta-Intermediator). ACSmI permite evaluar el cumplimiento de los acuerdos de nivel de servicio incluyendo la legislaci贸n. ACSmI tambi茅n proporciona una capa de abstracci贸n intermedia para los servicios de Computaci贸n donde los desarrolladores pueden acceder f谩cilmente a un cat谩logo de servicios acreditados y compatibles con los requisitos no funcionales establecidos.Adem谩s, este trabajo de investigaci贸n propone la caracterizaci贸n de las aplicaciones nativas multiNube y el concepto de "DevOps extendido" especialmente pensado para este tipo de aplicaciones. El concepto "DevOps extendido" pretende resolver algunos de los problemas actuales del dise帽o, desarrollo, implementaci贸n y adaptaci贸n de aplicaciones multiNube, proporcionando un enfoque DevOps novedoso y extendido para la adaptaci贸n de las pr谩cticas actuales de DevOps al paradigma multiNube

User Acceptance Evaluation of E-Government Services, Impact of Unified Approach Framework on the Government. Cloud Sultanate of Oman as a Case Study; Government and Citizens Perspectives
Oman has adopted e-government services, but according to the United
Nations E-Government Development Index classification, such services are
not fully utilised. E-government classification of Oman shows a lack that
motivated this research. The aim is to provide a framework that can help the
Omani government to better implement e-government services. As a result,
Oman classification is expected to be improved. Such framework may also
help similar developing countries in implementing their e-government services.
This work aimed to address both; government and citizens prospective, also
aiming to help conducting a sold research a good implementable framework.
Therefore, an interview with 21 government participations from different
institutions was conducted followed by citizens that attracted 400 qualified
responses. The research process has led to the suggestion of using another
approach of e-government services, the unified e-services portals.
The outcomes of this research show; both government and citizens are in
favour of using unified definitions in portals. In addition, a proposed framework
is presented based on supported findings that is believed to better utilising e government services hence leading to improve ranking. It is also believed that
the UN assessing committees would benefit from the unified approach. Simply,
it unifies the definition of each service based on the published academic
definitions and work.
The evaluation of the proposed framework is outside this research and can be
addressed by a further research as recommended. Implementing the unified
approach portals is another front that attracts implementation and evaluation
