I2PA : An Efficient ABC for IoT
Internet of Things (IoT) is very attractive because of its promises. However,
it brings many challenges, mainly issues about privacy preserving and
lightweight cryptography. Many schemes have been designed so far but none of
them simultaneously takes into account these aspects. In this paper, we propose
an efficient ABC scheme for IoT devices. We use ECC without pairing, blind
signing and zero knowledge proof. Our scheme supports block signing, selective
disclosure and randomization. It provides data minimization and transactions'
unlinkability. Our construction is efficient since smaller key size can be used
and computing time can be reduced. As a result, it is a suitable solution for
IoT devices characterized by three major constraints namely low energy power,
small storage capacity and low computing power
Agri-Food Traceability Management using a RFID System with Privacy Protection
In this paper an agri-food traceability system based on public key cryptography and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is proposed. In order to guarantee safety in food, an efficient tracking and tracing system is required. RFID devices allow recording all useful information for traceability directly on the commodity. The security issues are discussed and two different methods based on public cryptography are proposed and evaluated. The first algorithm uses a nested RSA based structure to improve security, while the second also provides authenticity of data. An experimental analysis demonstrated that the proposed system is well suitable on PDAs to
Introducing Accountability to Anonymity Networks
Many anonymous communication (AC) networks rely on routing traffic through
proxy nodes to obfuscate the originator of the traffic. Without an
accountability mechanism, exit proxy nodes risk sanctions by law enforcement if
users commit illegal actions through the AC network. We present BackRef, a
generic mechanism for AC networks that provides practical repudiation for the
proxy nodes by tracing back the selected outbound traffic to the predecessor
node (but not in the forward direction) through a cryptographically verifiable
chain. It also provides an option for full (or partial) traceability back to
the entry node or even to the corresponding user when all intermediate nodes
are cooperating. Moreover, to maintain a good balance between anonymity and
accountability, the protocol incorporates whitelist directories at exit proxy
nodes. BackRef offers improved deployability over the related work, and
introduces a novel concept of pseudonymous signatures that may be of
independent interest.
We exemplify the utility of BackRef by integrating it into the onion routing
(OR) protocol, and examine its deployability by considering several
system-level aspects. We also present the security definitions for the BackRef
system (namely, anonymity, backward traceability, no forward traceability, and
no false accusation) and conduct a formal security analysis of the OR protocol
with BackRef using ProVerif, an automated cryptographic protocol verifier,
establishing the aforementioned security properties against a strong
adversarial model

A Novel ID-based Electronic Cash System from Pairings
Recently, Chen et al. and Juang et al. each proposed one and two e-cash payment systems respectively. They claimed that their schemes are secure. However, in this paper, we will present the shortcomings of their schemes and then propose a novel one from pairings. After security analysis and comparison, we conclude that our scheme not only is more secure but also possesses more functions that a secure electronic cash system should encompass than all of the proposed protocols
Privacy-enhancing distributed protocol for data aggregation based on blockchain and homomorphic encryption
The recent increase in reported incidents of security breaches compromising users' privacy call into question the current centralized model in which third-parties collect and control massive amounts of personal data. Blockchain has demonstrated that trusted and auditable computing is possible using a decentralized network of peers accompanied by a public ledger. Furthermore, Homomorphic Encryption (HE) guarantees confidentiality not only on the computation but also on the transmission, and storage processes. The synergy between Blockchain and HE is rapidly increasing in the computing environment.
This research proposes a privacy-enhancing distributed and secure protocol for data aggregation backboned by Blockchain and HE technologies. Blockchain acts as a distributed ledger which facilitates efficient data aggregation through a Smart Contract. On the top, HE will be used for data encryption allowing private aggregation operations. The theoretical description, potential applications, a suggested implementation and a performance analysis are presented to validate the proposed solution. This work has been partially supported by the Basque Country Government under the ELKARTEK program, project TRUSTIND (KK- 2020/00054). A Novel Identity Based Blind Signature Scheme using DLP for E-Commerce
Abstract— Blind signatures are used in the most of the application where confidentiality and authenticity are the main issue. Blind signature scheme deals with concept where requester sends the request that the signer should sign on a blind message without looking at the content. Many ID based blind signature are proposed using bilinear pairings and elliptic curve. But the relative computation cost of the pairing in bilinear pairings and ID map into an elliptic curve are huge. In order to save the running time and the size of the signature, this paper proposed a scheme having the property of both concepts identity based blind signature that is based on Discrete Logarithm Problem, so as we know that DLP is a computational hard problem and hence the proposed scheme achieves all essential and secondary security prematurity. With the help of the proposed scheme, this paper implemented an E-commerce system in a secure way. E-commerce is one of the most concern applications of ID based blind signature scheme. E-commerce consisting selling and buying of products or services over the internet and open network. ID based blind signature scheme basically has been used enormously as a part of today’s focussed business. Our proposed scheme can be also be used in E-business, E-voting and E-cashing anywhere without any restriction
