ORGANISATIONAL DETERMINANTS AND E-ACCOUNTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION IN MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES (MSES) IN SOUTH-WEST NIGERIA
Over the past decade, there had been evidences on the accounting benefits accruable to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the integration of ICT in the accounting processes. Despite these benefits, the implementation of ICT in the accounting process of MSEs in Nigeria has not been well sought after as expected. More so, there had been mixed evidences on the factors influencing the implementation of e-Accounting in MSEs but these factors are yet to be situated in the context of Nigeria. It is against this background that the study empirically investigated the factors influencing the implementation of e-Accounting system in MSEs in Nigeria. In the study, four research questions, objectives and hypotheses were examined. These were focused around four major constructs; Owner/manager, Business, Technological and External characteristics. The study adopted the survey research design. The geographical scope of the study was limited to Owners/manager of MSEs in South-West Nigeria, in which samples were selected based on the stratified sampling technique. Utilizing the Raosoft sample size calculator and Bartlett, Kotrlik and Higgins sample size table, six-hundred and sixty (660) copies of the questionnaire were distributed within the South-West zone, out of which four-hundred and ten (410) were usable. The data gathered were analysed using general purpose statistical software STATA and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and the results were estimated using Binary Logistic Regression. The results revealed that owner/manager e-Accounting capability, business age, technology complexity, technology compatibility, technology security, technology cost to annual profit, presence of external IT supplier, customers’ request, external expertise influence are significant in the implementation of e-Accounting system. The study made the following recommendations amongst others; The MSEs geographical concentration should be considered in providing an indigenous and affordable e-Accounting system that allows for multi-user access and multi-preference specifications deployable to MSEs. In addition, the provision of an indigenous e-Accounting system should not be limited only to the supply of the e-Accounting infrastructure but should encompass the provision of consulting services during the pre-implementation, implementation and post implementation process. The study also proposed an e-Accounting framework that provides a platform where customers of e-Accounting system can indicate their needs, budgets and specifications, thus enabling them to own an e-Accounting system on a shared platform. The proposed framework in the study provide solutions to some constraints inhibiting the use of e-Accounting which include inability to allocate funds to information technology (IT) projects because of its capital intensive nature and the difficulties in recruiting and maintaining IT experts in micro and small enterprise

Organizational resources, dynamic capabilities and strategic performance: an analysis of the Real Estate Appraisal Industry in Guangdong, China
With the deepening of market economy, China's real estate appraisal industry is growing
from strength to strength. It is characterized by having a small scale, low profits, and weak
competition, even though growth differences are becoming increasingly noticeable among
companies. Currently, there is a significant shortage of empirical research about what is
happening in this transition phase concerning this industry. Therefore, it is important to
conduct studies that would help companies to develop business practices that allow them to
succeed in the market economy.
In this context, this thesis investigates the key factors that facilitate the performance of
the organization from the resource-based view, aiming at explaining the interplay between
organizational resources, dynamic capabilities, and strategic performance. Based on the
existing Chinese and foreign literatures, a conceptual model is developed, and four
hypotheses are proposed, for analyzing the influence of organizational resources
(entrepreneur traits, TMT characteristics, and network relationships) and dynamic capabilities
on the strategic performance of enterprises.
This research is conducted with middle-level and senior managers of the real estate
appraisal industry, in Guangdong province, China. A structured questionnaire is designed and
274 valid responses are gathered. Data analysis employs the variance-based structural
equation model (known as partial least squares-based SEM, PLS-SEM). Results confirms that
network relationships and dynamic capabilities have a direct positive effect on strategic
performance; entrepreneurial traits, TMT characteristics, and network relationships have a
positive impact on strategic performance through the mediating role of dynamic capabilities,
which contributes to academia by expanding research into strategic performance in China.
parciais, PLS-SEM - partial least squares - structural equation model).

Lusophone-African multinational enterprises internationalization mode: a case analysis of Angolan and Mozambican enterprises
Several internationalization theories have been developed over the past few decades that have made significant contributions in explaining the enterprise internationalization and their mode of entry strategy. It has been suggested that the determinants of entry mode choice of enterprises from emerging and frontier markets differ from those of comparable enterprises from advanced economies. A literature review appears to indicate that there is a need to expand the framework for entry mode strategies to accommodate the expansion issues enterprises from emerging and frontier countries face in the global marketplace. Nevertheless, not much information and an acceptable conclusion have been made on how MNEs from frontier markets internationalize and what factors influence their choice of entry into those markets. This study investigated the internationalization strategies of Lusophone Africa MNEs from Angola and Mozambique, more specifically, their entry mode. Information was gathered through a survey of 29 MNE’s upper management respondents and subsequent face-to-face semi-structured interviews with 24 of them in their countries. The results of this study suggest that most MNEs opted for equity-based investment strategies, mainly joint ventures and M&E as their preferred mode of entry when internationalizing. A significant group of them opted for eCommerce/ e-business strategies and direct and indirect exports. A smaller portion of the interviewees chose Greenfield investment as a mode of entry. Many of these MNEs could be classified as born global/INV. Finally, this study presents a conceptual framework for use in studying the entry mode choice of enterprises from Lusophone Africa frontier markets and offers research propositions for better understanding the determinants of entry mode strategies of enterprise from Angola and Mozambique.Accepted manuscrip
