Online Multiple Service System For Home User
The aim of this project is to develop an online multiple service system for the home users. The home users may choose the services they need easily through this interactive online system. The interactive online system that operates 24 hours a day helps the services sector expands the market; generate a closer relationship between the suppliers and the consumers. Meanwhle the online system also improves the company's ability to manage the information inside the company more effectively. The methodology choosen to develop this online system involving four phases. These four phases are system analysis, system design, system development and the system testing. System analysis is the process of gathering and analysing the information. System design decides the way to build the new system. Two research contributions in 64-bit computing: Testing and Applications
Following the release of Windows 64-bit and Redhat Linux 64-bit operating systems (OS) in late April 2005, this is the one of the first 64-bit OS research project completed in a British university. The objective is to investigate (1) the increase/decrease in performance compared to 32-bit computing; (2) the techniques used to develop 64-bit applications; and (3) how 64-bit computing should be used in IT and research organizations to improve their work. This paper summarizes research discoveries for this investigation, including two major research contributions in (1) testing and (2) application development. The first contribution includes performance, stress, application, multiplatform, JDK and compatibility testing for AMD and Intel models. Comprehensive testing results reveal that 64-bit computing has a better performance in application performance, system performance and stress testing, but a worse performance in compatibility testing than the traditional 32-bit computing. A 64-bit dual-core processor has been tested and the results show that it performs better than a 64-bit single-core processor, but only in application that requires very high demands of CPU and memory consumption. The second contribution is .NET 1.1 64-bit implementations. Without additional troubleshooting, .NET 1.1 does not work on 64-bit Windows operating systems in stable ways. After stabilizing .NET environment, the next step is the application development, which is a dynamic repository with functions such as registration, download, login-logout, product submissions, database storage and statistical reports. The technology is based on Visual Studio .NET 2003, .NET 1.1 Framework with Service Pack 1, SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 4 and IIS Server 6.0 on the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 platform with Service Pack 1
Bag-of-Features Image Indexing and Classification in Microsoft SQL Server Relational Database

Some security issues for web based frameworks
This report investigates whether a vulnerability found in one web framework may be used to find a vulnerability in a different web framework. To test this hypothesis, several open source applications were installed in a secure test environment together with security analysis tools. Each one of the applications were developed using a different software framework. The results show that a vulnerability identified in one framework can often be used to find similar vulnerabilities in other frameworks. Crosssite scripting security issues are the most likely to succeed when being applied to more than one framework
Reporting an Experience on Design and Implementation of e-Health Systems on Azure Cloud
Electronic Health (e-Health) technology has brought the world with
significant transformation from traditional paper-based medical practice to
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)-based systems for automatic
management (storage, processing, and archiving) of information. Traditionally
e-Health systems have been designed to operate within stovepipes on dedicated
networks, physical computers, and locally managed software platforms that make
it susceptible to many serious limitations including: 1) lack of on-demand
scalability during critical situations; 2) high administrative overheads and
costs; and 3) in-efficient resource utilization and energy consumption due to
lack of automation. In this paper, we present an approach to migrate the ICT
systems in the e-Health sector from traditional in-house Client/Server (C/S)
architecture to the virtualised cloud computing environment. To this end, we
developed two cloud-based e-Health applications (Medical Practice Management
System and Telemedicine Practice System) for demonstrating how cloud services
can be leveraged for developing and deploying such applications. The Windows
Azure cloud computing platform is selected as an example public cloud platform
for our study. We conducted several performance evaluation experiments to
understand the Quality Service (QoS) tradeoffs of our applications under
