Simultaneous and Sequential Synchronisation in Arrays
We discuss the possibility of simultaneous and sequential synchronisation in
vertical and horizontal arrays of unidirectionally coupled discrete systems.
This is realized for the specific case of two dimensional Gumowski-Mira maps.
The synchronised state can be periodic, thereby bringing in control of chaos, or
chaotic for carefully chosen parameters of the participating units. The
synchronised chaotic state is further characterised using variation of the time
of synchronisation with coupling coefficient, size of the array etc. In the
case of the horizontal array, the total time of synchronisation can be
controlled by increasing the coupling coefficient step wise in small bunch of
units.Comment: 10 pages 12 figures submitted to European Physical Journa
Exponential synchronization of complex delayed dynamical networks with general topology
The global exponential synchronization of complex delayed dynamical networks possessing general topology is investigated in this contribution. The network model considered can represent both the directed and undirected weighted networks. Novel delay-dependent linear controllers are designed via Lyapunov stability theory and appropriate property of the coupling matrix. It is shown that the controlled network is globally exponentially synchronized with a given convergence rate. Two examples of typical dynamical networks with coupling delays of this class, one possesses directed and the other with undirected coupling topology, both having a Lorenz system at each node, have been used to demonstrate and verify the novel control design proposed. © 2007 IEEE.published_or_final_versio
Synchronization in a Class of Complex Dynamical Networks with Nonlinear Coupling
Abstract: This paper deals with a synchronization problem for a class of complex delayed dynamical networks with nonlinear coupling, including known and uncertain networks. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, we propose controllers for both known and uncertain networks to realize synchronization. Numerical example is also given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization criteria
Impulsive Synchronization of Nonlinearly Coupled Complex Networks
This paper investigates synchronization problem of nonlinearly coupled dynamical networks, and an effectively impulsive control scheme is proposed to synchronize the network onto the objective state. Based on the stability analysis of impulsive differential equations, a low-dimensional sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the exponential synchronization in virtual of average impulsive interval. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods and results
