LeoPARD --- A Generic Platform for the Implementation of Higher-Order Reasoners
LeoPARD supports the implementation of knowledge representation and reasoning
tools for higher-order logic(s). It combines a sophisticated data structure
layer (polymorphically typed {\lambda}-calculus with nameless spine notation,
explicit substitutions, and perfect term sharing) with an ambitious multi-agent
blackboard architecture (supporting prover parallelism at the term, clause, and
search level). Further features of LeoPARD include a parser for all TPTP
dialects, a command line interpreter, and generic means for the integration of
external reasoners.Comment: 6 pages, to appear in the proceedings of CICM'2015 conferenc
Automated Generation of Geometric Theorems from Images of Diagrams
We propose an approach to generate geometric theorems from electronic images
of diagrams automatically. The approach makes use of techniques of Hough
transform to recognize geometric objects and their labels and of numeric
verification to mine basic geometric relations. Candidate propositions are
generated from the retrieved information by using six strategies and geometric
theorems are obtained from the candidates via algebraic computation.
Experiments with a preliminary implementation illustrate the effectiveness and
efficiency of the proposed approach for generating nontrivial theorems from
images of diagrams. This work demonstrates the feasibility of automated
discovery of profound geometric knowledge from simple image data and has
potential applications in geometric knowledge management and education.Comment: 31 pages. Submitted to Annals of Mathematics and Artificial

A Proof Strategy Language and Proof Script Generation for Isabelle/HOL
We introduce a language, PSL, designed to capture high level proof strategies
in Isabelle/HOL. Given a strategy and a proof obligation, PSL's runtime system
generates and combines various tactics to explore a large search space with low
memory usage. Upon success, PSL generates an efficient proof script, which
bypasses a large part of the proof search. We also present PSL's monadic
interpreter to show that the underlying idea of PSL is transferable to other
ITPs.Comment: This paper has been submitted to CADE2
Variations on a Theme: A Bibliography on Approaches to Theorem Proving Inspired From Satchmo
This articles is a structured bibliography on theorem provers,
approaches to theorem proving, and theorem proving applications inspired
from Satchmo, the model generation theorem prover developed
in the mid 80es of the 20th century at ECRC, the European Computer-
Industry Research Centre. Note that the bibliography given in this article
is not exhaustive
The JStar language philosophy
This paper introduces the JStar parallel programming language, which is a Java-based declarative language aimed at discouraging sequential programming, en-couraging massively parallel programming, and giving the compiler and runtime maximum freedom to try alternative parallelisation strategies. We describe the execution semantics and runtime support of the language, several optimisations and parallelism strategies, with some benchmark results
