Resource Allocation for Power Minimization in the Downlink of THP-based Spatial Multiplexing MIMO-OFDMA Systems
In this work, we deal with resource allocation in the downlink of spatial
multiplexing MIMO-OFDMA systems. In particular, we concentrate on the problem
of jointly optimizing the transmit and receive processing matrices, the channel
assignment and the power allocation with the objective of minimizing the total
power consumption while satisfying different quality-of-service requirements. A
layered architecture is used in which users are first partitioned in different
groups on the basis of their channel quality and then channel assignment and
transceiver design are sequentially addressed starting from the group of users
with most adverse channel conditions. The multi-user interference among users
belonging to different groups is removed at the base station using a
Tomlinson-Harashima pre-coder operating at user level. Numerical results are
used to highlight the effectiveness of the proposed solution and to make
comparisons with existing alternatives.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figures, IEEE Trans. Veh. Techno
Low Complexity WMMSE Power Allocation In NOMA-FD Systems
In this paper we study the problem of power and channel allocation with the
objective of maximizing the system sum-rate for multicarrier non-orthogonal
multiple access (NOMA) full duplex (FD) systems. Such an allocation problem is
non-convex and, thus, with the goal of designing a low complexity solution, we
propose a scheme based on the minimization of the weighted mean square error,
which achieves performance reasonably close to the optimum and allows to
clearly outperforms a conventional orthogonal multiple access approach.
Numerical results assess the effectiveness of our algorithm.Comment: 5 pages conference paper, 3 figures. Submitted on ICASSP 202
Hybrid TH-VP Precoding for Multi-User MIMO
Vector perturbation (VP) is a nonlinear precoding technique that achieves near-capacity performance in multiuser multiple-input multiple-output systems at the expense of large complexity due to the search for the optimum perturbation vector. In this paper, we present the hybrid Tomlinson–Harashima VP (TH-VP) algorithm, a novel zero-forcing pre coding scheme, which combines TH precoding to remove interuser interference, and VP precoding to equalize each user’s multiple spatial streams. We show that the two nonlinear techniques can be integrated in a single optimization and that the proposed algorithm has lower computational requirements than any other. The performance of TH-VP is analyzed and simulation results show that TH-VP outperforms conventional zero-forcing VP and approaches the performance of dirty paper coding
Capacity Enhancement of Multiuser Wireless Communication System through Adaptive Non-Linear Pre coding
Multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) nonlinear pre coding techniques face the issue of poor computational scalability of the size of the network. But by this nonlinear pre coding technique the interference is pre-cancelled automatically and also provides better capacity. So in order to reduce the computational burden in this paper, a definitive issue of MU-MIMO scalability is tackled through a non-linear adaptive optimum vector perturbation technique. Unlike the conventional (Vector Perturbation) VP methods, here a novel anterograde tracing is utilized which is usually recognized in the nervous system thus reducing complexity. The tracing of distance can be done through an iterative-optimization procedure. By this novel non-linear technique the capacity is improved to a greater extend which is explained practically. By means of this, the computational complexity is managed to be in the cubic order of the size of MUMIMO, and this mainly derives from the inverse of the channel matrix. The proposed signal processing system has been implemented in the working platform of MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results of proposed communication system and comparison with existing systems shows the significance of the proposed work
Adaptive Power Allocation and Control in Time-Varying Multi-Carrier MIMO Networks
In this paper, we examine the fundamental trade-off between radiated power
and achieved throughput in wireless multi-carrier, multiple-input and
multiple-output (MIMO) systems that vary with time in an unpredictable fashion
(e.g. due to changes in the wireless medium or the users' QoS requirements).
Contrary to the static/stationary channel regime, there is no optimal power
allocation profile to target (either static or in the mean), so the system's
users must adapt to changes in the environment "on the fly", without being able
to predict the system's evolution ahead of time. In this dynamic context, we
formulate the users' power/throughput trade-off as an online optimization
problem and we provide a matrix exponential learning algorithm that leads to no
regret - i.e. the proposed transmit policy is asymptotically optimal in
hindsight, irrespective of how the system evolves over time. Furthermore, we
also examine the robustness of the proposed algorithm under imperfect channel
state information (CSI) and we show that it retains its regret minimization
properties under very mild conditions on the measurement noise statistics. As a
result, users are able to track the evolution of their individually optimum
transmit profiles remarkably well, even under rapidly changing network
conditions and high uncertainty. Our theoretical analysis is validated by
extensive numerical simulations corresponding to a realistic network deployment
and providing further insights in the practical implementation aspects of the
proposed algorithm.Comment: 25 pages, 4 figure
