Regards sur le Premier Mésolithique en Charente-Maritime : Fontbelle (Villars-les-Bois)

De la prospection au sondage : présentation du site de Fontbelle Le site de Fontbelle(Villars-les-Bois, Charente-Maritime – fig. 1) a été découvert sur le versant sud d’une colline à proximité immédiate du Souillac en 1975, au cours d’une des nombreuses prospections de surface menées par F. et J. Blanchet sur les communes de Villars-les-Bois et Brizambourg. Ces opérations ont révélé une vingtaine de sites mésolithiques dont certains ont livré des collections primordiales pour la compréhens..

Les « territoires » stylistiques du premier Mésolithique en Poitou-Charentes et Pays-de-la-Loire

La faible connaissance des groupes humains du premier Mésolithique dans le centre-ouest de la France découle de rares travaux, souvent centrés sur des zones géographiques autres et ne s’appuyant que sur quelques sites. L’examen suivant, basé sur une approche stylistique des territoires via l’étude des armatures, prend en compte l’ensemble des cas répondant aux critères d’étude qui ont pu être recensés. Le modèle proposé se démarque de certains schémas et n’intègre pas totalement le premier Mésolithique du Centre-Ouest à la sphère sauveterrienne : il repose sur des réseaux d’interactions croisées entre différents faciès, dont ceux de Loire-Atlantique/Vendée (Mésolithique ancien ligérien) et des Charentes (Mésolithique ancien charentais).The First Mesolithic style “territories” in Poitou-Charentes and Pays-de-la-Loire (Central-Western France), the little we know of the first Mesolithic human groups of the french Centre-Ouest derived from rare discoveries, often focusing on other geographical areas and relying on only a few sites. The following examination, based on a stylistic approach to territories via the study of arrowheads, takes into account the whole range of cases, from which we were able to make an inventory which fulfilled the criteria of the study. The model suggested doesn’t include completely the early Mesolithic of Central Western France in the Sauveterrian sphere and is based on networks of cross-interactions between different facies, notably those of Loire-Atlantique/Vendée (Early Ligerian Mesolithic) and Charentes (Early Charentais Mesolithic)

Regions and Transferences in the Iberian Neolithic Path. The Case of the Lithic Projectiles

We analyze the evolution of the geometric proyectiles at the end of the Mesolithic and the beginnings of the Neolithic: this study is carried out region by region with special attention is given to the segments with retouch helwan. It is observed that during the Mesolithic is a shared evolution in the whole of the Iberian Peninsula and, at the same time, a regionalization according to the preferences by some or other types. During the Neolithic it renews the lithic industry, also the geometrics models. Again, there is a peninsular regionalization: affects to the lithic industry and to the other elements of material culture. Complementarily several examples of transfers are known. In this sense, the helwan segments identify the first Neolithic of, at least, the western half of the Ebro basin, the southwestern France and much of the peninsular interior. As a result of the Neolithic transferences, will also be known in the eastern half of the Ebro Basin and on the Mediterranean coast, at the Neolithic advanced times
