    EVALUATION INSTRUMENTS OF COMPREHENSIVE GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING PROGRAM IN THE CULTURE OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN INDONESIA

    Program evaluation in comprehensive guidance and counseling is very important to determine the level of goal achievement. For the evaluation results to provide the right information, a valid and reliable instrument is needed. At the higher education level, the comprehensive guidance and counseling program, including the program evaluation component, does not have many references that users can refer to. The available references focus more on primary and secondary education levels. This research is intended to produce the intended evaluation instrument. Descriptive methods and literature reviews were used in this study. The data were revealed using a Delphi technique questionnaire involving three experts, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. In this study, the constructs of evaluation instruments for comprehensive guidance and counseling programs were synthesized and modified from various expert opinions and professional organizations with two patterns of answers: yes and no. The resulting evaluation instrument needs to be empirically tested for its feasibility by involving adequate participants

    Practical application of AAPM Report 270 in display quality assurance: A report of Task Group 270

    Published in January 2019, AAPM Report 270 provides an update to the recommendations of the AAPM\u27s TG18 report. Report 270 provides new definitions of display types, updated testing patterns, and revised performance standards for the modern, flat-panel displays used as part of medical image acquisition and review. The focus of the AAPM report is on consistent image quality and appearance, and how to establish a quality assurance program to achieve those two goals. This work highlights some of the key takeaways of AAPM Report 270 and makes comparisons with existing recommendations from other references. It also provides guidance for establishing a display quality assurance program for different-sized institutions. Finally, it describes future challenges for display quality assurance and what work remains

    A user interface for customizing cane layouts in Virtual Glass

Virtual Glass was created to model the cane pulling process from start to finish. There are a variety of standard cane layout patterns, but in truth the full range of possibilities is limited only by the glassblower's skill and imagination. For this reason the previous Virtual Glass interface, which provided only templates, proved to be too restrictive for users. In this thesis I describe an alternative interface we have developed which frees users from the limitations of template patterns. I provide a side-by-side comparison of several previous cane designs replicated in the program with and without the use of this interface. I also detail several unimplemented features and describe the foreseeable challenges with adding them, as well as how they might integrate into the interface when they are included.by Kimberly Baldauf.M.     Scientific reference style using rule-based machine learning

    Regular Expressions (RegEx) can be employed as a technique for supervised learning to define and search for specific patterns inside text. This work devised a method that utilizes regular expressions to convert the reference style of academic papers into several styles, dependent on the specific needs of the target publication or conference. Our research aimed to detect distinctive patterns of reference styles using RegEx and compare them with a dataset including various reference styles. We gathered a diverse range of reference format categories, encompassing seven distinct classes, from various sources such as academic papers, journals, conference proceedings, and books. Our approach involves employing RegEx to convert one referencing format to another based on the user's specific preferences. The proposed model demonstrated an accuracy of 57.26% for book references and 57.56% for journal references. We used the similarity ratio and Levenshtein distance to evaluate the dataset's performance. The model achieved a 97.8% similarity ratio with a Levenshtein distance of 2. Notably, the APA style for journal references yielded the best results. However, the effectiveness of the extraction function varies depending on the reference style. For APA style, the model showed a 99.97% similarity ratio with a Levenshtein distance of 1. Overall, our proposed model outperforms baseline machine learning models in this task. This study introduces an automated program that utilizes regular expressions to modify academic reference formats. This will enhance the efficiency, precision, and adaptability of academic publishing

I examine the transaction records of 80 million customers and find that while our economic choices predict mobility patterns overall, at the small scale we transact unpredictably. In particular, we bundle together multiple store visits, and interleave the order in which we frequent those stores. Individual predictability also varies with income level.     All-Alaska Rate Electric Power Pricing Structure

    Economists at the Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of Alaska Anchorage were asked to research the potential options and impacts of establishing an All-Alaska Rate as an alternative to the current Power Cost Equalization (PCE) program funding formula. We were asked to provide a history of the PCE program and information on electricity rates and patterns of consumption across regions of Alaska. This report provides the results of this analysis. Alaska is unique in many ways, including its consumption and pricing of electricity. There are large regional differences in consumption and prices that result from proximity to different types and quantities of resources. Differences in remoteness and population size also influence costs. Urban areas in the southern Railbelt benefit from larger economies of scale and access to natural gas and hydroelectric resources; the majority of hydroelectric facilities are located in Southcentral and Southeast Alaska. Most communities in rural Alaska depend on volatile and high price fossil fuels for the generation of electricity. The Alaska statewide weighted average residential rate for electricity (17.6 cents per kilowatt (kWh) in CY2011) is higher than the U.S. average of 11.8 cents per kWh (U.S. EIA, 2012). Alaska now trails behind Hawaii (34.5 cents), New York (18.4 cents) and Connecticut (18.1 cents) based on ranking of average residential price per kWh.
