PENGARUH TRANSFORMASI DIGITAL TERHADAP KINERJA BANK PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH DI INDONESIA

    Get PDF
Digital transformation is a trend and a necessity to survive in the current pandemic era. The banking industry as an industry that is required to be very responsive and fundamentally also needs to carry out digital transformation. Regional Development Banks have their own challenges in executing their strategies because they have a function as agents of regional development but on the other hand have to compete with commercial banks. The BPD that has carried out a digital transformation is Bank BJB. From the literature study, it was found that digital transformation has an influence on company performance and on innovation. This study examines the effect of digital transformation and innovation on the performance of BJB Bank. Respondents in this study were the leaders of the 65 branch offices of Bank BJB in Indonesia. This study uses PLS-SEM and proves that there is a positive and significant effect of digital transformation and innovation on company performance. These findings provide a practical contribution as a guide for the banking industry in efforts to improve its performance through a digital transformation strategy. Future research will need to expand the population to other banks, combine a firm's perspective with consumer acceptance (for example using innovation acceptance models such as TAM, DOI, UTAUT, and others), and examine the factors that influence digital transformation itself. Business Process Redesign in the Perioperative Process: A Case Perspective for Digital Transformation

    Get PDF
This case study investigates business process redesign within the perioperative process as a method to achieve digital transformation. Specific perioperative sub-processes are targeted for re-design and digitalization, which yield improvement. Based on a 184-month longitudinal study of a large 1,157 registered-bed academic medical center, the observed effects are viewed through a lens of information technology (IT) impact on core capabilities and core strategy to yield a digital transformation framework that supports patient-centric improvement across perioperative sub-processes. This research identifies existing limitations, potential capabilities, and subsequent contextual understanding to minimize perioperative process complexity, target opportunity for improvement, and ultimately yield improved capabilities. Dynamic technological activities of analysis, evaluation, and synthesis applied to specific perioperative patient-centric data collected within integrated hospital information systems yield the organizational resource for process management and control. Conclusions include theoretical and practical implications as well as study limitations

When 1+1 is Greater than 2: Concurrence of Additional Digital and Established Business Models within Companies

    Get PDF
Many established companies currently face digitalization challenges. Part of their answer is often the creation of new digital business models based on new technologies, which do not necessarily replace the existing business model but act as additional source of economic value. Having two business models in parallel in the same company creates the opportunity of synergies between these business models. However, knowledge about the interaction between digital and non-digital business models remains scarce. This study, currently in progress, contributes to research by filling this gap and identifying synergies already taken by companies of various industries, leading to a better understanding of digital business models within established companies and their interaction with existing, traditional business models. For practitioners this study provides insights on how-to benefit from parallel business models within a company and thus how to better face digitalization

Work 4.0 and the Identification of Complex Competence Sets

    Get PDF
In our progressively more interconnected world, some people may be displaced from their traditional occupations by intelligent agents and smart machines. At the same time there may be a shortage of people skilled in the development of these technologies, and societal changes may see more people undertaking a succession of short-term project assignments. This is leading to studies of future competency requirements (called Work 4.0 in Europe) and the evolution of agile human resources management systems. A focus on mapping accessible individual competence sets is emerging, facilitated by the identification of associated information systems. In this paper we explore challenges in the identification of current and future competency requirements and in competency mapping to facilitate agile operations. We also introduce the concept of competency relationship mapping

Sensemaking of Digital Transformation in Organizations - A Case Study

    Get PDF
The increasing diffusion of digital technologies throughout industries and dimensions of life is transforming organizations. However, many organizations fail to develop a digital transformation strategy. This paper presents a theoretical sensemaking model of Digital Transformation (DT) and the preliminary outcomes of an ongoing study. The study is supported by socio-cognitive theories, including organizational sensemaking theory and its integration with technological frameworks to understand the development of DT in organizations. The findings of a pilot case study from the hotel industry provide evidence that this study could lead to a framework that could help understand DT from a socio-cognitive perspective. Additionally, the pilot case could be the basis for a broader framework, which could be used for other studies in this field, both for academics and practitioner
