Tendencias curriculares para afrontar los cambios de la sociedad actual

Trends related to the school curriculum and the characteristics of contemporary curricular trends are reviewed, as well as some curricular provisions determined by recent problems in the world context. It begins by explaining the historical journey that contemporary curricular trends have had, then four questions are raised: What are the contemporary curricular trends? What are the characteristics of the current context to which curricular trends are responding? What specific curricular trends respond to the challenges of today's society? and what are its characteristics? In response to the first two questions, different contemporary curricular trends are cited from the perspective of several authors, later, responding to the third question, the following trends are established: decolonization of the curriculum, curricular flexibility for multimodal, inclusive and technological educational training, the competency-based approach, learning for life, the inclusion of socio-emotional education, the use of the potential of digital technologies in education, the ecological curricular approach for a damaged planet and the inclusion of research and innovation as transversal axes of the curriculum; Finally, the definitions, characteristics and criticisms of each one are detailed in response to the fourth question.Se revisan las tendencias relacionadas al currículo escolar y las características de las tendencias curriculares contemporáneas, además se presentan algunas disposiciones curriculares determinadas por las problemáticas recientes del contexto mundial. Se inicia explicando el recorrido histórico que han tenido las tendencias curriculares contemporáneas, posteriormente se plantean cuatro interrogantes: ¿Cuáles son las tendencias curriculares contemporáneas? ¿Cuáles son las características del contexto actual a la que están respondiendo las tendencias curriculares? ¿Qué tendencias curriculares específicas responden a los desafíos de la sociedad de hoy? y ¿Cuáles son sus características? En respuesta a las dos primeras interrogantes se citan distintas tendencias curriculares contemporáneas desde la perspectiva de varios autores, posteriormente, respondiendo a la tercera interrogante se establecen las siguientes tendencias: descolonización del currículo, la flexibilidad curricular para una formación educativa multimodal, inclusiva y tecnológica, el enfoque por competencias, un aprendizaje para la vida, la inclusión de la educación socioemocional, el aprovechamiento del potencial de las tecnologías digitales en la educación, el enfoque curricular ecológico para un planeta dañado y la inclusión de la investigación y la innovación como ejes transversales del currículo; finalmente se detallan las definiciones, características y críticas de cada una en respuesta a la cuarta interrogante
