    La complejidad de la cultura orientada a la innovaci贸n en una instituci贸n prestadora de servicios de salud.

    Los avances en una variedad de ciencias que se agrupan en un conjunto conocido como ciencias de la complejidad han posibilitado la investigaci贸n de los problemas reales que debe afrontar hoy la humanidad, desde una nueva visi贸n del mundo que permite interpretar apropiadamente los fen贸menos complejos que suceden permanentemente a nuestro alrededor. En esta investigaci贸n se realiza inicialmente una revisi贸n de los fundamentos te贸ricos que soportan las ciencias de la complejidad, la cultura y la innovaci贸n organizacionales sobre las bases cient铆ficas existentes. Las dos 煤ltimas se problematizan por su concepci贸n y estudio generalizado desde la visi贸n de la corriente de pensamiento dominante como fen贸menos de lineales, predecibles, deterministas y controlables y se enfoca su estudio desde la perspectiva de la complejidad bajo cuya mirada se concluye que la contrastaci贸n de sus propiedades con las de los sistemas complejos permite concluir que conllevan las caracter铆sticas de los sistemas complejos adaptativos y por tanto deben estudiarse con teor铆as y herramientas que permitan incluir sus din谩micas no lineales, su emergencia, evoluci贸n e impredictibilidad, en la medida en que el tiempo transcurre. Para el logro de estos prop贸sitos se construye una sociedad artificial multiagente que imita al grupo de funcionarios de una unidad m茅dica en una instituci贸n prestadora de servicios de salud. Se implementa un laboratorio virtual o in silico que permite la ejecuci贸n de experimentos virtuales sin las limitaciones 茅ticas o de costos propias de los experimentos convencionales que involucran personas reales. Las interacciones entre los individuos y las interrelaciones de este conglomerado con el medio se modelan y visualizan a trav茅s de simulaciones en agentes computaciones (ABMS) y en ambientes de redes complejas (ARS) para diferentes escenarios de inter茅s modificando los valores de los par谩metros y los umbrales de decisi贸n a voluntad del investigador. Los resultados de estos experimentos permiten explicar el fen贸meno de la emergencia y evoluci贸n de los patrones de adopci贸n/difusi贸n de la innovaci贸n resultantes de las micro- acciones de los individuos que generan el macro-comportamiento grupal y el examen de la conexi贸n micro-macro. La interpretaci贸n de la informaci贸n proporcionada por la evoluci贸n de las redes hace posible descifrar, entre otros importantes aspectos, la estructura informal de la organizaci贸n, la formaci贸n y consolidaci贸n de comunidades, subgrupos o cl煤steres culturales correspondientes a subculturas y la capacidad de intermediaci贸n de cada funcionario (betweenes) que indica el dominio que los actores tienen sobre la informaci贸n, de manera que pueden permitir u obstaculizar el flujo de esta, modificarla o tergiversarla de acuerdo con sus intereses individuales.     Enterprise e-recruitment: a problem-oriented conceptual model and ontology for contextualising recruitment problem space.

    Internet-led labour market has become so competitive forcing many organisations from different sectors to embrace e-recruitment. However, it is challenging to realise the value of e-recruitment from a Requirements Engineering (RE) analysis perspective, which is the overall problem addressed in this thesis. The research was originated from the failure of realising the e- recruitment value in a real e-recruitment project conducted in the Secureland Army (SA). After reviewing the various challenges faced in that project through a number of related research domains, the thesis focuses on two major problems that are root causes of the overall problem of the thesis: (1) the difficulty of scoping, representing, and systematically transforming recruitment problem knowledge towards e-recruitment solution specification; and (2) the difficulty of documenting e-recruitment best practices for reuse purposes in an enterprise recruitment environment. These problems are related to some knowledge gaps in the research literature. To address the foregoing problems, the thesis developed four artefacts leading to contributions to knowledge centred on enterprise e-recruitment: (1) a Problem-Oriented Conceptual Model (POCM) to contextualise and represent the various recruitment problem viewpoints from an enterprise perspective; (2) a complementary Ontology for Recruitment Problem Definition (Onto-RPD) to elaborate those problem viewpoints towards a comprehensive recruitment problem definition; (3) a POCM-informed Requirements Analysis Approach (POCM-RAA) to utilise POCM and systematically derive and analyse requirements through different levels of abstraction towards the e-solution space; and (4) an Enterprise Recruitment Metamodel (ERM) to enable a better documentation and reuse of Enterprise Recruitment Best Practices (ERBPs) by combining the elements of the three artefacts previously developed with the elements of a template defined for that purpose. The overall research methodology adopted is design science, a scientific study for creating artefacts with the goal of solving practical problems. The POCM and Onto-RPD artefacts were developed incrementally using action-research conducted on three real case studies, and evaluated using a focus group. Based on the POCM and Onto-RPD, the POCM-RAA was developed using a literature study as well as well-established RE approaches. The ERM was developed by consolidating and integrating the previous artefacts with a defined template for documentation. The evaluation indicates that the POCM and Onto-RPD provide a strong foundation for representing and defining recruitment problem from different enterprise perspectives. Moreover, the POCM-RAA can support a systematic guidance and transformation of recruitment problem domain knowledge towards e-recruitment solution. The ERM supported by an example of application showed its feasibility towards a better structuring and documenting of ERBPs. Finally, the four artefacts developed can collectively contribute to the resolution of research problem and enable realisation of e-recruitment value.
