Software is the core for Computer-based applications which became an essential part for critical control systems, health and human life guard systems, financial and banking systems, educational and other systems. It requires qualified software engineers professionally and ethically. L.R and survey results show that software engineering professionals facing several ethical related problems which are costly, harmful and affected high ratio of people. Professional organizations like ACM, IEEE, ABET and CSAC have established codes of ethics to help software engineering professionals to understand and manage their ethical responsibilities. Islam considers ethics an essential factor to build individuals, communities and society. Islamic Ethics are set of moral principles and guidance that recognizes what is right behavior from wrong, which are comprehensive, stable, fair, and historically prove success in building ethically great society. The 1.3 billions of Muslims with 10s of thousands of software engineers should have an effective role in software development and life, which requires them to understand and implement ethics, specially the Islamic ethics in their work. This paper is a frame-work for modeling software engineering principle. It focuses mainly on adopting a new version of software engineering principle based on Islamic ethical values

The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the vital role of sustainability practices encompassing eco efficiency linked, employee or ethics centered and integrative procedures for enlightening corporate performance and guaranteeing greater sustainable innovation performance. This is achieved by upholding and maintaining EEA trait resilience that comprises engineering, ecological and adaptive facets of resilience. On the basis of tentative assumptions derived through a Triple Bottom Line (3BL) of oil and gas companies, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SMART PLS has been used to perform path analysis for testing these hypotheses. The sample in the envisioned study with cross-sectional study design contains primary or empirical data obtained from the managers of petroleum companies in Lahore, Pakistan. With respect to the current study’s context, it can be established that sustainability or socially responsible practices are the ultimate supporting and ancillary beings of petroleum based organizations needed to gratify ecological, engineering and adaptability (EEA) resilience and assist these companies to achieve long term goals pertaining to corporate value, effectiveness and efficacy with augmented heights of sustainable innovation performance. This study features and emphasizes the true value of sustainability based on the premise of Institutional Theory and resilience or bounciness of oil and gas companies momentous of Systems Theory based texts. The findings reveal that higher sustainable innovation enactment and enhancement in corporate level performance of these petroleum companies can be sustained and endured in continuity by fetching resilience in adaptiveness, ecosystem protection and engineering processes through installing distinguished ethics, employee and integration centered sustainability and actions in operations.&nbsp

For the last seven years, a summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates site in structural engineering, funded by the National Science Foundation, has operated at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During this time, 33 students from 22 colleges and universities have participated in the site. Participants are recruited nationally and have come from as far away as California and Puerto Rico. The program is intended to provide students interested in graduate studies with an introduction to research methods, and to provide students who will not continue their studies past a bachelor of science in civil engineering with a better understanding of how research provides the theoretical foundation of engineering practice. Students work individually with faculty on literature reviews, computer modeling, laboratory testing, and field research. Three students have researched structural failure case studies and the technical and ethical lessons to be learned from them. Participants also have the opportunity to tour construction sites and construction material manufacturers’ and fabricators’ facilities. During the past three years, an ethics seminar series has been added. At the end of the program, students prepare research papers and Web pages documenting their work and present their results to faculty, students, and other participants

Noncommutative Logic Systems with Applications in Management and Engineering

Zadeh's (min-max, standard) fuzzy logic and various other logics are commutative, but natural language has nuances suggesting the premises are not equal, with premises contributing to the conclusion according to their prominency. Therefore, we suggest variants of salience-based, noncommutative and non-associative fuzzy logic (prominence logic) that may better model natural language and reasoning when using linguistic variables. Noncommutative fuzzy logics have several theoretical and applicative motivations to be used as models for human inference and decision making processes. Among others, asymmetric relations in economy and management, such as buyer-seller, provider-user, and employer-employee are noncommutative relations and induce noncommutative logic operations between premises or conclusions. A class of noncommutative fuzzy logic operators is introduced and fuzzy logic systems based on the corresponding noncommutative logics are described and analyzed. The prominence of the operators in the noncommutative operations is conventionally assumed to be determined by their precedence. Specific versions of noncommutative logics in the class of the salience-based, noncommutative logics are discussed. We show how fuzzy logic systems may be built based on these types of logics. Compared with classic fuzzy systems, the noncommutative fuzzy logic systems have improved performances in modeling problems, including the modeling of economic and social processes, and offer more flexibility in approximation and control. Applications discussed include management and engineering problems and issues in the field of firms’ ethics or ethics of AI algorithms
