This work was aimed at the control of a wheelchair using brain signals, allowing people
with motor disabilities to move a robotic chair through the commercial center Emotiv
EPOC that recept electroencephalogram signals (EEG) , for which it was necessary that
user cognitive abilities are intact. The signals sent were processed by the proposed
kinematic and dynamic controllers, which send commands position and movement speed
wheel chair robot. The results of experiments and simulations show that the movement
of robot chair wheels converges to the desired trajectory according to the proposed
algorithms. The kinematic and dynamic system for the chair user controllers meet the
goal of finding the best way forward for the chair wheeled robot, the robot also provides
the ability to position at a desired point; which it is done by reducing errors that may reach

controller algorithm for dynamic system parameters chair-user so that the dynamic model
fits contextures different user, weight, height and other characteristics
In this work, the implementation of trajectory tracking in the plane (x, y) of a unicycletype

The
control
algorithms
were
implemented in the AKASHA single-cell mobile robot (noncommercial),
reference speeds were considered as control signals to the system, as is
common in commercial robots. In addition, the model has an adequate structure for the
design of control laws. The results obtained through simulations and experimentally,
showed that the single-unit mobile robot converges to the desired trajectory according to
the Predictive Control algorithms implemented, reducing the errors that arise due to
restrictions and other concurrent factors in the movement of the mobile robot towards the
desired path. As it will be seen in the present project, there is no single methodology
around the implementation of predictive controllers; however, it must be considered that
the dynamic model of a robot or plant obtained previously to the application of an MPC
algorithm must be sufficiently precise to be efficient and represent the same behaviour of
the real system; The more inaccurate the model, the greater the error in control
Modeling and control of a wheelchair considering center of mass lateral displacements
This work presents the kinematic and dynamic modeling of a humanwheelchair system where it is considered that its mass center is not located at the wheels’ axis center of the wheelchair. Furthermore, it is presents a new motion controller for human-wheelchair system that is capable of performing positioning and path-following tasks. The proposed controller has the advantage of simultaneously performing the approximation of the robot to the proposed path by the shortest route and limiting its velocity. This controller design is based on two cascaded subsystems: a kinematic controller with command saturation, and a dynamic controller that compensates the dynamics of the robot. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015
