NASA contributions to fluidic systems: A survey
A state-of-the art review of fluidic technology is presented. It is oriented towards systems applications rather than theory or design. It draws heavily upon work performed or sponsored by NASA in support of the space program and aeronautical research and development (R&D). Applications are emphasized in this survey because it is hoped that the examples described and the criteria presented for evaluating the suitability of fluidics to new applications will be of value to potential users of fluidic systems. This survey of the fluidics industry suggests some of the means whereby a company may use a fluidic system effectively either to manufacture a product or as part of the end product

New Hollywood in the rust belt: urban decline and downtown renaissance in 'The King of Marvin Gardens' and 'Rocky'
This article reviews the geographical dynamics of New Hollywood, arguing that the industrial crisis of 1969-1971 catalyzed further decentralization of location shooting beyond Los Angeles, bringing new types of urban space into view. It examines the parallel crisis and restructuring of the film industry and the inner city via two films, The King of Marvin Gardens (1972) and Rocky (1976), which are emblematic of distinct phases in the development of New Hollywood. Through their aesthetic strategies, narrative structure and mapping of cinematic space, these films produce allegories of urban decline and renewal that closely engaged with the transformation of the American city, from the urban crisis of the late 1960s to neoliberal programs of renewal in the late 1970s

Organizational Images And Member Identification
We develop a model to explain how images of one's work organization shape the strength of his or her identification with the organization. We focus on two key organizational images: one based on what a member believes is distinctive, central, and enduring about his or her organization and one based on a member's beliefs about what outsiders think about the organization. According to the model, members assess the attractiveness of these images by how well the image preserves the continuity of their self-concept, provides distinctiveness, and enhances self-esteem. The model leads to a number of propositions about how organizational identification affects members' patterns of social interaction.Managemen
A moment in time: from the digital record of a migrating library
This paper draws on the work of the Arts & Humanities Research Council-funded Glasgow Cassirer Project, which makes correspondence and documents relating to the German philosopher Ernst Cassirer (1874-1945) available online. The paper concentrates on the relocation in 1933 of the Kulturwissenschaftliche Bibliothek Warburg, developed from the personal library of Aby Warburg (1866-1929), from its home in Hamburg to London, where it opened as the Warburg Institute in 1934. The problems which faced the emigre staff of the Library are discussed, as well as the circumstances facing the scholars most associated with the KBW in Hamburg, notably Cassirer, and their subsequent dispersal. Evidence is presented to challenge the view that the impact on British scholars of the newly-arrived Institute was limited
