The Arabic language learning for university students in University is faced by various problems that impact the lack of language proficiency. Some problems faced by university students come from negative learning attitudes, low motivation, unhappy feelings toward the Arabic course that tends to be boring as well as a non-supportive language environment. The use of Hybrid Learning approach in Arabic language learning was done by strengthening students’ physical and mental state. This research aims to: (1) analyze the Arabic language learning by using Hybrid Learning Approach, (2) analyze lecturers' technology literacy level in deciding the success of the learning process (3) analyze the effectiveness of  Hybrid learning model on students' learning outcomes in Arabic language. This study applied the Mixed-Method Research to examine students' Arabic proficiency and learning process by using Hybrid Learning approach..The research respondents in this study are college students who take an Arabic language subject that consist of 80 students in each College. The data collection technique used in this research is a test, questionnaire, and interview. The use of Hybrid learning in Arabic language learning can improve students' positive attitude and learning motivation. Besides, this also can enhance students’ Arabic language skills. The significance of the research is to solve various problems of Arabic language learning faced by lecturers. The implementation of Hybrid learning can create an effective learning environment that can enhance Arabic language skills. This research result can be applied by Arabic language lecturers to handle various problems regarding attitude and learning motivation

Abstract—Self checkout system technology is being used by many retail industry. in development of self checkout system, RFID, barcode and QR are the most technology used for this system, although those technology require big cost because of those sensors and IoT technology. Amazon go develop self checkout system based on computer vision and sensor. Thus, customer get new experience in shopping cashierless. This research intend to build this system using Single Shot Multibox Detection (SSD) object detection method with Mobilnet as base net layer and action recognition for knowing which item is put or took away in rack using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN ) method and Motion History Image (MHI) as an input. SSD as object detection used to detect item in rack also as feature extraction for action recognition model for detecting person and then get bounding box to get person's ROI image and finaly those images is converted to MHI as an input for the model. Object detection has been trained by custom dataset and get [email protected] 83% for action recognition we built three models as comparison with MHI duration 20, 30 and 45, we get 90%,94%,93% model accuracy with custom dataset we collected

State of Art of Telemonitoring in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus, with a Focus on Elderly Patients

    Get PDF
Since the beginning of the 1990s, several telemedicine projects and studies focused on type 1 and type 2 diabetes have been developed, including very few elderly diabetic patients. Several of these projects specifically concerned elderly subjects (n = 4). Mainly, these projects and studies show that telemonitoring diabetes results in improved blood glucose control—a significant reduction in HbA1c, improved patient ownership of the disease, greater patient adherence to therapeutic and hygiene-dietary measures, positive impact on comorbidities (hypertension, weight, dyslipidemia), improved quality of life for patients, and at least good patient receptivity and accountability. To date, the magnitude of its effects remains debatable, especially with the variation in patients’ characteristics (e.g., background, ability for self-management, medical condition), sample selection, and approach for treatment of control groups. Over the last 5 years, numerous telemedicine projects based on connected objects and new information and communication technologies (ICT) (elements defining telemedicine 2.0) have emerged or are still under development

Actual as well as Future Technologies and Noninvasive Devices for Optimal Management of Diabetes Mellitus and Chronic Heart Failure

In recent years, several technological innovations have become part of the daily lives of patients suffered from chronic diseases. It is the case for diabetes mellitus and chronic heart failure with noninvasive glucose sensors, intelligent insulin pumps, artificial pancreas, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence for an optimal management. A review of the literature dedicated to these technologies and devices supports the efficacy of the latter. Mainly, these technologies have shown a beneficial effect on diabetes or chronic heart failure management with mainly improvement for these two diseases of patient ownership of the disease; patient adherence to therapeutic and hygiene-dietary measures; the management of comorbidities (hypertension, weight, dyslipidemia); and at least, good patient receptivity and accountability. Especially, the emergence of these technologies in the daily lives of these patients suffered from chronic disease has led to an improvement of the quality of life for patients. Nevertheless, the magnitude of its effects remains to date debatable or to be consolidated, especially with the variation in patients’ characteristics and methods of experimentation and in terms of medical and economic objectives

Internet of Everything in the Teaching-Learning Approach: An Integrative Review

Introduction: The fourth industrial revolution or industry 4.0 has brought a variety of technologies to different societies. One of these technologies is the Internet of Things (IoT), primarily conceptualized in engineering fields and then found its way to the field of education. Internet of Everything (IoE) has been discussed in the evolution of the IoT concept. IoE mainly focuses on things, people, processes, and data. This paper aims to investigate different studies from the emergence of IoT concept and its development to IoE based teaching-learning process. Methods: The integrative review was applied as the research method, Web of Science and Scopus databases were directly investigated and 139 articles were finalized as the result of this integrative review. Results: Findings of this study demonstrated that the teaching learning process with the focus on IoE could be categorized into logic models, including inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and external factors. Based on extracted components, the final model showed that the teaching-learning approach with the focus on IoE is a process that mainly occurs through integration and connection of IoT-based infrastructures, stakeholder’s interactions, teaching and learning activities. Eventually, this has brought personal and general outputs to achieve sustainability, Green IoT, and meeting the needs of industry. Simultaneously with the implementation or application of this system, several challenges can arise in the process, namely Security, Privacy, Financing, Reliable connectivity, and Cloud infrastructure. Conclusion: Therefore, this model can help policymakers or educators to be aware of the different parts of an IoE-based education system
