S-AVE Semantic Active Vision Exploration and Mapping of Indoor Environments for Mobile Robots

Semantic mapping is fundamental to enable cognition and high-level planning in robotics. It is a difficult task due to generalization to different scenarios and sensory data types. Hence, most techniques do not obtain a rich and accurate semantic map of the environment and of the objects therein. To tackle this issue we present a novel approach that exploits active vision and drives environment exploration aiming at improving the quality of the semantic map

Due brani del romanzo di Kafka Il castello descrivono gli amplessi del protagonista K. con una servetta dell’ostello presso cui egli si trova ospitato. Le due scene e le espressioni usate dallo scrittore per descriverle rimandano a due noti brani del De rerum natura di Lucrezio. Non è facile stabilire se si tratti di una ripresa consapevole (l’“arte allusiva” di Pasquali) o di una semplice reminiscenza, ma la circostanza costituisce in ogni caso la testimonianza di un’affinità spirituale fra i due autori.Two passages from Kafka's novel The Castle describe the embraces of the protagonist K. with a servant of the hostel where he is staying. The two scenes and the expressions used by the writer to describe them refer to two well-known passages from Lucretius's De rerum natura. It is not easy to determine whether it is a conscious revival (Pasquali's "allusive art") or a simple reminiscence, but the circumstance constitutes in any case the testimony of a spiritual affinity between the two authors

Il prologo del de nuptis di Marziano Capella alla fabula nuziale (il matrimonio di Filologia e Mercurio) è costituito da una prima parte in versi, l'inno a Imeneo (un unicum nelle letteratura antica), cui segue una parte in prosa, un dialogo dal carattere metaletterario con il figlio omonimo, dedicatario dell'opera. I motivi elaborati, che richiamano Lucrezio e Porfirio, delineano il progetto culturale dell'opera: una difesa, e al tempo stesso una rifondazione, della tradizione culturale pagana, dove la filologia sia la scienza sotto la quale riunire il percorso formativo dell'encyclios paideia.The prologue of Martianus Capella's de nuptiis to the nuptial fabula (the marriage between Philologia and Mercurius) is constituted by a first part in verses, the hymn to Hymenaeus (an unicum in the ancient literature), followed by a second part in prose, a meta-literary dialogue with the homonym son, to which the work is dedicated.
