Método de enseñanza basado en noticias audiovisuales y su influencia en el desarrollo de competencias comunicativas en inglés de estudiantes del cuarto y quinto año de educación secundaria del Colegio Las Praderas International School

Demuestra que la aplicación del método de enseñanza basado en noticias audiovisuales influye en el desarrollo de las competencias comunicativas en inglés, como segunda lengua, de estudiantes del cuarto y quinto grado de secundaria del Colegio Las Praderas International School. La investigación es aplicada, de tipo cuasi-experimental, con una población de 45 alumnos del cuarto y quinto año de secundaria, utilizando un diseño de investigación Pre test y un Pos test que ayudaron a medir los resultados. Se concluye que, la aplicación del método de enseñanza basado en noticias audiovisuales influye en el desarrollo de las competencias comunicativas en inglés, como segunda lengua, de estudiantes del cuarto y quinto grado de secundaria del Colegio Las Praderas International School

Proposition d’une intervention de formation infirmière axée sur la communication thérapeutique entre l’infirmière et les familles dont un enfant est hospitalisé aux soins intensifs pédiatriques

Travail dirigé présenté à la Faculté des sciences infirmières en vue de l'obtention du grade de Maître ès sciences (M.Sc.) en sciences infirmières option expertise-conseil en soins infirmiersL’hospitalisation d’un enfant aux soins intensifs pédiatriques (SIP) est une expérience difficile, autant pour l’enfant que pour ses parents. Ces derniers vivent un stress face à cette hospitalisation dans un contexte critique empreint d’instabilité et d’imprévisibilité. Dès lors, la communication entre l'infirmière et les familles est essentielle et fait partie de son rôle d'accompagnement. Le but de ce travail dirigé est de proposer une intervention de formation infirmière axée sur la communication entre l’infirmière et les familles dont un enfant est hospitalisé aux SIP. Tout d'abord, une première recension des écrits est effectuée sur l'expérience des familles lorsqu'un enfant des hospitalisé aux SIP. Ensuite, une deuxième recension des écrits est réalisée sur la formation infirmière. Enfin, à la lumière des résultats de ces deux recensions des écrits, une activité de formation sous forme de simulation sur la communication thérapeutique est proposée.A child’s admission to the hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) is as challenging for the child as it is for his/her parents. They feel stressed related to this hospitalization which leads to a certain instability and unpredictability that become a critical part of the context. Therefore, communication is essential between the nurse and the families. It is part of his/her family support role. The aim of this assignment is to propose an educational intervention based on the communication needed between a nurse and families who have a child hospitalized in a PICU. First of all, a literature review is carried out on families’ experiences when they have a child hospitalized in a PICU. Then, a second literature review is undertaken on nurses’ education. Finally, in light of these two literature reviews, an educational activity is proposed in the form of a simulation-based therapeutic conversation

Literature review of audiovisual practices in Nursing education

ABSTRACT Objective: to carry out a literature review to characterize the production in the Nursing area about the use of movies and videos in Nursing education, related to underlying communication assumptions and contents taught. Method: integrative bibliographic review carried out in the PUBMED databases, CAPES journal portal, and SCIELO online library, with studies from 2007 to 2016. Results: 36 articles were included, in which audiovisual resources are part of the research subject. There are predominance of validation and effectiveness studies, in which audiovisual resources are used mostly as a reproduction of reality, mainly to develop clinical skills, with the purpose of illustrating procedures or bringing students closer to real contexts of action. Final considerations: the results point to a weak theoretical support of most of the studies. It is suggested that more empirical research be conducted to offer more consistent contributions to Nursing teaching
