A survey of recent results on congruence lattices of lattices
We review recent results on congruence lattices of (infinite) lattices.
We discuss results obtained with box products, as well as categorical,
ring-theoretical, and topological results
Classical limit and quantum logic
The analysis of the classical limit of quantum mechanics usually focuses on the state of the system. The general idea is to explain the disappearance of the interference terms of quantum states appealing to the decoherence process induced by the environment. However, in these approaches it is not explained how the structure of quantum properties becomes classical. In this paper, we consider the classical limit from a different perspective. We consider the set of properties of a quantum system and we study the quantum-toclassical transition of its logical structure. The aim is to open the door to a new study based on dynamical logics, that is, logics that change over time. In particular, we appeal to the notion of hybrid logics to describe semiclassical systems. Moreover, we consider systems with many characteristic decoherence times, whose sublattices of properties become distributive at different times.Fil: Losada, Marcelo Adrián. Convergence and quantale-enriched categories
Generalising Nachbin's theory of "topology and order", in this paper we
continue the study of quantale-enriched categories equipped with a compact
Hausdorff topology. We compare these -categorical compact
Hausdorff spaces with ultrafilter-quantale-enriched categories, and show that
the presence of a compact Hausdorff topology guarantees Cauchy completeness and
(suitably defined) codirected completeness of the underlying quantale enriched
category
Representation and duality of the untyped lambda-calculus in nominal lattice and topological semantics, with a proof of topological completeness
We give a semantics for the lambda-calculus based on a topological duality
theorem in nominal sets. A novel interpretation of lambda is given in terms of
adjoints, and lambda-terms are interpreted absolutely as sets (no valuation is
necessary)
