The problems of formation and ordering of electronic collection for digital copies of the library documents are considered. The basic scientific and methodological foundations of creating an electronic archive of digital copies of documents are presented. The structure and subsystems of digital collection of the scientific library, namely the stocking, storage, record, presentation, search, protection and sharing access to information are analyzed in detail. The necessity and expediency of integrating the created electronic archive with Automated Library Information System are substantiated

Electronic commerce is one of the components in the internet that growing fast in the world. In this research, it is developed the prototype for library service that offers library collection ordering especially books and articles through World Wide Web. In order to get an interaction between seller and buyer, there is an urgency to develop a dynamic web, which needs the technology and software. One of the programming languages is called Active Server Pages (ASP) and it is combining with database system to store data. The other component as an interface between application and database is ActiveX Data Objects (ADO). ASP has an advantage in the scripting method and it is easy to make the configuration with database. This application consists of two major parts those are administrator and user. This prototype has the facilities for editing, searching and looking through ordering information online. Users can also do downloading process for searching and ordering articles. Paying method in this e-commerce system is quite essential because in Indonesia not everybody has a credit card. As a solution to this situation, this prototype has a form for user who does not have credit card. If the bill has been paid, he can do the transaction online. In this case, one of the ASP advantages will be used. This is called "session" when data in process would not be lost as long as the user still in that "session". This will be used in user area and admin area where the users and the admin can do various processes

Purpose To describe how an e-books project was set up at the University of Worcester Information and Learning Services with the aim to improve user access to the range of textbook materials available. Methodology/Approach Details of the background and circumstances of the University and the effect of these on the process undertaken by the e-books project group are described. The selection of an e-books provider and subsequent ordering, cataloguing and promotion activities are outlined. Findings This paper outlines the importance of tailoring the approach to e-books acquisition to the individual institution. It is found that authentication is a major issue and that for e-books packages to be successful, technical problems need to be kept to a minimum. Practical Implications Examples to assist others in setting up e-books provision are given. Technical difficulties and the range of titles available are both impediments to providing a full e-books service. Originality/ Value of the Paper E-books appear to provide greater access and flexibility to library users. Information and Learning Services fully intend to extend the range of e-books available to students. This paper looks at the practicalities of setting up and expanding such a service

Tendencies toward local atomic ordering in (A,A′)(B,B′)O_(3−δ) mixed composition perovskites are modeled to explore their influence on thermodynamic, transport, and electronic properties. In particular, dopants and defects within lanthanum chromate perovskites are studied under various simulated redox environments. (La_(1−x),Sr_x)(Cr_(1−y),Fe_y)O_(3−δ) (LSCF) and (La_(1−x),Sr_x)(Cr_(1−y),Ru_y)O_(3−δ) (LSCR) are modeled using a cluster expansion statistical thermodynamics method built upon a density functional theory database of structural energies. The cluster expansions are utilized in lattice Monte Carlo simulations to compute the ordering of Sr and Fe(Ru) dopant and oxygen vacancies (Vac). Reduction processes are modeled via the introduction of oxygen vacancies, effectively forcing excess electronic charge onto remaining atoms. LSCR shows increasingly extended Ru-Vac associates and short-range Ru-Ru and Ru-Vac interactions upon reduction; LSCF shows long-range Fe-Fe and Fe-Vac interaction ordering, inhibiting mobility. First principles density functional calculations suggest that Ru-Vac associates significantly decrease the activation energy of Ru-Cr swaps in reduced LSCR. These results are discussed in view of experimentally observed extrusion of metallic Ru from LSCR nanoparticles under reducing conditions at elevated temperature

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in San Jose, California is a unique dual-use library serving the students of San Jose State University and the community of San Jose, California. The reference collections of the two libraries are merged and interfiled to promote ease of access for both populations served. Economies of scale were realized through collaborative collection development activities for major reference purchases between the two institutions. This article describes the planning and creation of the King Library\u27s merged reference collection and reviews the literature of collaborative collection development and merged or interfiled collections

Information System Ordering Online Restaurant Menu at Hover Cafe

The rapid development of technology requires every business person to upgrade his technology to more sophisticated. Many business people have upgraded their systems to be computerized and even online, one of the business people is in the culinary field. The culinary field which is meant for example is the cafe One thing that can support the quality of ordering in a cafe is the ordering process. In the hover cafe the menu ordering system is still conventional, using a menu book. This of course can be a problem because the menu book used can be damaged or lost so that it can slow down the ordering process, not to mention if the customer requests additional orders, the waiter must come to the customer's table to record additional orders again. The method used in this research is the method of data collection, the method of observation, the method of interviewing, and the method of literature study conducted to obtain accurate data. Then the data are analyzed with SWOT to find out the company's weaknesses and strengths. In describing the flow of the system using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) as a programming language with a MySQL database as a database. Therefore we need a ordering media that utilizes information technology as a medium for selecting food and beverage (E-Menu) which can provide information about order menu details to facilitate customers in making and ordering food or beverage menus
