The Encyclopedia of Neutrosophic Researchers - vol. 1
This is the first volume of the Encyclopedia of Neutrosophic Researchers, edited from materials offered by the authors who responded to the editor’s invitation. The authors are listed alphabetically. The introduction contains a short history of neutrosophics, together with links to the main papers and books. Neutrosophic set, neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic probability, neutrosophic statistics, neutrosophic measure, neutrosophic precalculus, neutrosophic calculus and so on are gaining significant attention in solving many real life problems that involve uncertainty, impreciseness, vagueness, incompleteness, inconsistent, and indeterminacy. In the past years the fields of neutrosophics have been extended and applied in various fields, such as: artificial intelligence, data mining, soft computing, decision making in incomplete / indeterminate / inconsistent information systems, image processing, computational modelling, robotics, medical diagnosis, biomedical engineering, investment problems, economic forecasting, social science, humanistic and practical achievements
International Cooperation to Combat Money Laundering in the Southeast Asia: A Narrative Perspective in Vietnam
The fight against money laundering is a special concern of international, regional, and national scale. In recent years, Vietnam is a country that is significantly affected by this type of crime. To combat money laundering need not only to strengthen domestic legislation’s system and professional task forces, but also to enhance international cooperation among multilateral and bilateral agreements between host countries and their counterparts. Using the document analysis combined with legal norm’s analysis, this paper draws the nature of money laundering in Vietnam and also analysis Vietnam’s perspectives to implement their national efforts to curb this crime. The research highlights the significant role of international cooperation in this battle rather than building national improvements. Some recommendations to improve the effectiveness of international cooperation to fight money laundering in general as well as to enhance policing plans of Vietnam’s law enforcement agencies that call for special attentions in the end of the research. Keywords: Money laundering, money laundering prevention, international cooperation, VietnamDOI: 10.7176/JLPG/96-09Publication date: April 30th 202
Logistics 4.0 in warehousing: a conceptual framework of influencing factors, benefits and barriers
Purpose: In the last decade, the Industry 4.0 paradigm had started to rapidly expand to the logistics domain. However, Logistics 4.0 is still in an early adoption stage: some areas such as warehousing are still exploring its applicability, and the technological implementation of this paradigm can become fuzzy. This paper addresses this gap by examining the relationship among influencing factors, barriers, and benefits of Logistics 4.0 technologies in warehousing contexts. Design/methodology/approach: Starting from a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with 56 examined documents published in scientific journals or conference proceedings, a conceptual framework for Logistics 4.0 in warehousing is proposed. The framework encompasses multiple aspects related to the potential adopter’s decision-making process. Findings: Influencing factors toward adoption, achievable benefits, and possible hurdles or criticalities have been extensively analyzed and structured into a consistent picture. Company’s digital awareness and readiness result in a major influencing factor, whereas barriers and criticalities are mostly technological, safety and security, and economic in nature. Warehousing process optimization is the key benefit identified. Originality/value: This paper addresses a major gap since most of the research has focused on specific facets, or adopted the technology providers’ perspective, whereas little has been explored in warehousing from the adopters’ view. The main novelty and value lie in providing both academics and practitioners with a thorough view of multiple facets to be considered when approaching Logistics 4.0 in logistics facilities
HHMF: hidden hierarchical matrix factorization for recommender systems
Abstract(#br)Matrix factorization (MF) is one of the most powerful techniques used in recommender systems. MF models the (user, item) interactions behind historical explicit or implicit ratings. Standard MF does not capture the hierarchical structural correlations, such as publisher and advertiser in advertisement recommender systems, or the taxonomy (e.g., tracks, albums, artists, genres) in music recommender systems. There are a few hierarchical MF approaches, but they require the hierarchical structures to be known beforehand. In this paper, we propose a Hidden Hierarchical Matrix Factorization (HHMF) technique, which learns the hidden hierarchical structure from the user-item rating records. HHMF does not require the prior knowledge of hierarchical structure; hence, as opposed to..
Data Mining
The availability of big data due to computerization and automation has generated an urgent need for new techniques to analyze and convert big data into useful information and knowledge. Data mining is a promising and leading-edge technology for mining large volumes of data, looking for hidden information, and aiding knowledge discovery. It can be used for characterization, classification, discrimination, anomaly detection, association, clustering, trend or evolution prediction, and much more in fields such as science, medicine, economics, engineering, computers, and even business analytics. This book presents basic concepts, ideas, and research in data mining
