European Law and Regulation of Mobile Net Neutrality
Mobile is a rapidly growing and potentially major element of the future Internet, and its environment cannot be sensibly considered in isolation from fixed networks [2]. A note on terminology: Europe uses the term Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) while the United States uses 'wireless' Internet Service Providers (ISPs) [3]. 'Wireless' is somewhat more open in the United States. In Europe, mobile has always made special pleading for forms of self-regulation, as we will see. The article introduces mobile broadband, then considers net neutrality in the fixed environment including the new laws passed in November 2009 in the European Parliament, before considering the mobile net neutrality debate, the degree of price control regulation exerted on European mobiles and the MNOs' vigorous rear-guard anti-regulation defence. Finally, I look at the effects of this regulatory asymmetry and whether MNO calls for mobile to be treated differently from other ISPs can be justified. I conclude by examining what the effect of price and content control on mobile is likely to be for incentives for fixed ISPs and produce a result that I describe as the 'fixed' strategy

Dramatic improvements in networking technologies over the past couple of decades have yielded substantial increase in computer and communication capabilities. A number of new networking technologies such as middleware, wireless mesh networks anWiMAX, global IPv6, new generation multimedia, and modern network security started taking off. To date, some of these development efforts have mainly focused on protocol standardization, product development, and network operations besides being research targets. We believe that the accumulated experience in new networking practices now provide interesting research opportunities, not only for the broader network research community, but also for those who have been involved in these advancement developments

Development of a dc-ac power conditioner for wind generator by using neural network
This project present of development single phase DC-AC converter for wind
generator application. The mathematical model of the wind generator and Artificial
Neural Network control for DC-AC converter is derived. The controller is designed to
stabilize the output voltage of DC-AC converter. To verify the effectiveness of the
proposal controller, both simulation and experimental are developed. The simulation and
experimental result show that the amplitude of output voltage of the DC-AC converter
can be controlled
Integration of Hybrid Passive Optical Networks (PON) with Radio over Fiber (RoF)
A cost effective, robust, and high capacity access network necessitated to meet the mounting customer demands for bandwidth-desirous services. A remarkable evolution of access networks is observed both in wired and wireless, predominantly driven by ever-changing bandwidth requirements. A wireless connection releases the end user from the restrictions of a physical link to a network that results in mobility, flexibleness, and ease of use. Whereas, optical networks offer immense amount of bandwidth that appease the most bandwidth voracious customers compared to bandwidth limited wireless networks. The integration of wired and wireless domains in the access landscape that presents a technical analysis of optical architectures suitable to support radio over fiber (RoF) is the objective of this chapter. Investigate the main trends that drive the merger of fiber and wireless technologies in access networks. Moreover, study the primary terms and the particular transmission features of integrated fiber-radio links to form a well-defined classification of hybrid systems and techniques. This work also recognizes the major problems for realization of RoF systems and examines the limitation, advantages, and diversity of integrated RoF-PON technology
