Kerupuk Pangsit Adem Ayem is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in snacks. To meet the inventory, the company must make purchases of raw materials. Purchasing is a continuous activity for the company and is the main proposal in production. The design of an accounting information system for purchasing raw materials on Kerupuk Pangsit Adem Ayem can facilitate the process of purchasing raw materials via the web and can produce financial report information easily and quickly. The system design method used in this study used survey methods and descriptive methods. The data collected in conducting this study is in the form of qualitative data. The raw material purchase accounting information system can be used as a means of facilitating the determination of raw material purchases for production and financial reporting in the form of reports on cost of goods produced, so that the information produced is more precise and accurate

FIRM OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND ERP USAGE: ROLE OF INTERNAL/EXTERNAL, INDIVIDUAL AND ERP FACTORS

In the rapidly evolving landscape of modern technology, the convergence of diverse technological advancements is reshaping how ERP systems function and perform. This transformation aims to bolster the utilization of ERP systems, ultimately leading to improved organizational performance. Despite these developments, limited insights are available regarding the factors that both foster ERP system usage and impede organizational performance. Consequently, the present study strives to gain a deeper comprehension of the determinants influencing ERP system utilization, consequently contributing to organizational advancement. Specifically, the study seeks to explore how ERP system usage acts as a mediator within the framework of internal and external factors, individual characteristics, ERP-specific elements, and overall organizational performance. To achieve this objective, survey questionnaires were administered to employees within Saudi Arabian companies, utilizing the convenience sampling technique. The subsequent analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) through Amos-16. The study's outcomes highlight the significance of User Support, Top Management Support, IT Expert/Consultant Support, Computer self-efficacy, and Communication Effectiveness in driving increased ERP system utilization, thereby fostering organizational performance enhancement. The outcomes of this study enrich the existing knowledge base by deepening researchers' comprehension of the various elements that impact both ERP utilization and overall firm performance. Furthermore, the study's findings provide valuable insights for industry practitioners, enabling them to strategically incorporate these factors to optimize ERP usage and consequently enhance firm performance. Notably, the examination of these interrelationships among variables, particularly within the context of Saudi Arabian organizations, remains a relatively underexplored area within the current body of research, based on the researchers' available information

Nimikkeiden ja materiaaliryhmien hallinnan tehostaminen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmää kehittämällä - Case Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta Oy

Materiaalihallinnalla viitataan hankintatoimen vastuuseen hankkia oikeat materiaalit, oikeaan aikaan ja paikkaan yrityksen tuotannon jatkuvuuden varmistamiseksi. Materiaalihallinta on yksi liiketoiminnan tärkeimmistä osa-alueista ja sillä on merkittäviä vaikutuksia yritysten kustannuksiin. Ohjausjärjestelmien kehityksen avulla, materiaalihallinnan osa-alueiden automatisointi ja datan luotettavuuden jatkuva parantaminen on mahdollista. Kehitystoimet vaikuttavat positiivisesti yritysten operatiivisen toiminnan tehokkuuteen. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastelu on rajattu keskittymään materiaalihallinnan nimikkeitä ja materiaaliryhmiä koskeviin osa-alueisiin. Nimikkeillä viitataan materiaaleihin, joita yritys hyödyntää osana tuotantoaan. Materiaaleille avataan toiminnanohjausjärjestelmään tunnistekoodit, joiden avulla niihin liittyviä tietoja ylläpidetään ja seurataan. Suurten nimikemäärien hallinnan tehostamiseksi, materiaalit luokitellaan niiden ominaisuuksien mukaan materiaaliryhmiin. Ryhmittelyn avulla materiaalien johtamista pyritään helpottamaan, sekä mahdollistetaan hankintojen tarkka koordinointi. Materiaaliryhmien yhteydessä esille nousee lisäksi tuoteryhmäjohtamisen termi, jonka johtamisoppien avulla materiaalihallintaa kehitetään strategisempaan suuntaan. Valittuihin materiaalihallinnan osa-alueisiin perehdytään tutkielman yhteydessä toteutetun tapaustutkimuksen avulla, hyödyntäen laadullisia ja määrällisiä tutkimusmenetelmiä. Tutkimuksen kohdeyrityksenä toimii nikkelimetallien ja -kemikaalien jalostajana globaaleilla markkinoilla toimiva Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta Oy. Tutkimusdatan keruussa hyödynnetään puolistrukturoituja haastatteluita, määrällistä kyselytutkimusta, sekä havainnointia. Tutkimusdatan perusteella kehitetyt tehostustoimet käyttöönotetaan kohdeyrityksen SAP-toiminnanohjausjärjestelmässä ja mittareiden avulla saatuja tuloksia verrataan aiemmin aiheesta olemassa oleviin tutkimustuloksiin hankintatoimen tehokkuuden ja yrityksen taloudellisen kehityksen näkökulmasta. Tutkielman tulokset osoittavat, että kehittämällä ohjausjärjestelmien nimike- ja materiaaliryhmäratkaisuja, yritykset pystyvät tehostamaan materiaalihallintaansa. Kehitystoimet vaikuttavat useisiin eri organisaation osiin vähentäen virheiden riskiä, mahdollistaen automatisoidut toimintatavat, selkeyttäen vastuunjakoa sekä lisäten datan luotettavuutta. Datatieteiden kasvava rooli materiaalihallinnan kehityksessä avaa yrityksille uusia kilpailuedun lähteitä ja mahdollisuuksia tehostaa liiketoiminnan suorituskykyä
