Tools to aid navigation

The problem of disorientation brought about by hypertext navigation can be solved by efficient tools to aid navigation such as summaries, indexes or navigation maps. In the article we analyse the main tools to aid navigation used in the Internet web, going futher into those which use knowledge representation to carry out their faction. We propose new ways of making navigation maps to favour access and understanding of information for hypertext environments in teaching-learning

Croatian tourism web site as text type

The aim of this paper is to present the web site as a new form of the tourist supply. The web sites, as a new text form, show special features when compared with those of conventional, non-electronic texts. The paper examines diverse aspects of web sites created by the tourism industry, as well as of their layout and linguistic features. The language of tourism is also analyzed on the corpus of the Croatian tourism web site, i.e. on the website of the Zagreb Tourist Board. The results of this analysis will show the tendencies in the creation of the Croatian tourism web sites

Despite growing interest in educational websites for children, there has been surprisingly little research conducted into the design of websites intended for a younger audience. This research aims to determine how the design principles identified in the extant body of literature, might be fused with the development practices currently employed within a focus organisation (case study organisation), to synthesise and partially validate a set of website navigation design guidelines for use when developing website navigation for primary school students, between the ages of nine and twelve years
