Fuzzy logic-based approximate event notification in sparse MANETs
Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) are an important communication infrastructure to support emergency and rescue operations. To address the frequent disconnections and network partitions that might occur, we have developed a distributed event notification service (DENS) for sparse MANETs. In most event notification solutions, subscriptions are formed with crisp values or crisp value ranges. However, in emergency and rescue operations subscribers may not always have time to give crisp values or crisp value ranges. Moreover, subscriber's interests in queries have gradual nature and subjective measure that calls for computing by words. Therefore, we design and implement a simple fuzzy concept based subscription language allowing more expressive subscriptions and more sophisticated event-filtering. It is built on two new ideas: using features as multi-attribute indexes of the subscription and predicate patterns for processing subscriptions with arbitrary Boolean operators. However, requiring more computational efforts, fuzzy logic introduces performance penalties in the whole network. The proposed services have been evaluated for run-time, space and scalability efficiency. The proposed design framework is extensible to the user- and application-semantics and configurable to the dynamics in data that publish/subscribe paradigm imposes at runtime
An approach to multiple attribute decision making based on the induced Choquet integral with fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy information
In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems with fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy information. Firstly, some operational laws of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy values, score function and accuracy function of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy values are introduced. Then, we have developed two fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy Choquet integral aggregation operators: induced fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy choquet ordered averaging (IFNIFCOA) operator and induced fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy choquet ordered geometric (IFNIFCOG) operator. The prominent characteristic of the operators is that they can not only consider the importance of the elements or their ordered positions, but also reflect the correlation among the elements or their ordered positions. We have studied some desirable properties of the IFNIFCOA and IFNIFCOG operators, such as commutativity, idempotency and monotonicity, and applied the IFNIFCOA and IFNIFCOGM operators to multiple attribute decision making with fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy information. NIFS-programmet har vært en felles satsing mellom Jernbaneverket, Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat og Statens vegvesen. Etatene har store felles utfordringer, og et godt samarbeid er kostnadseffektivt og kompetanseoppbyggende for organisasjonene. Programmet er gjennomført i perioden 2012–2015, med sluttseminar i april 2016. NIFS har hatt som mål å utvikle kunnskap og gode, effektive og fremtidsrettede løsninger for å håndtere ulike naturfarer og bidra til økt samfunnssikkerhet. Gjennom FoU-programmet er det utredet og dokumentert ulike problemstillinger knyttet til flom og skred. Resultatene har verdi for utøvelse av etatenes samfunnsoppdrag. Implementering av resultat og konkrete anbefalinger tilligger de respektive etatene.I det geotekniske fagmiljøet er det stor enighet om at valg av karakteristisk udrenert aktiv skjærfastet (cuA) er meget viktig og spiller en stor rolle for beregnet sikkerhetsfaktor i stabilitetsanalyser. Dette er således en viktig oppgave NIFS, da man innser at valg av cuA, både konservativ og ikke – konservativ, vil kunne ha store økonomiske (og samfunnsmessige) konsekvenser i mange prosjekter. Arbeidsgruppen har fokusert på å få en mest mulig ensartet praksis for hvordan cuA -profil bestemmes. Arbeidet i gruppen har resultert i en” veileder for valg av aktiv udrenert skjærfasthet cuA-profil basert på felt – og laboratorieforsøk" som er diskutert i denne rapporten. Samtidig mener arbeidsgruppen at «sound engineering judgement» er helt sentralt når man velger et karakteristisk cuA -profi
