Distributed tracking control of leader-follower multi-agent systems under noisy measurement
In this paper, a distributed tracking control scheme with distributed
estimators has been developed for a leader-follower multi-agent system with
measurement noises and directed interconnection topology. It is supposed that
each follower can only measure relative positions of its neighbors in a noisy
environment, including the relative position of the second-order active leader.
A neighbor-based tracking protocol together with distributed estimators is
designed based on a novel velocity decomposition technique. It is shown that
the closed loop tracking control system is stochastically stable in mean square
and the estimation errors converge to zero in mean square as well. A simulation
example is finally given to illustrate the performance of the proposed control
scheme.Comment: 8 Pages, 3 figure
Distributed Consensus of Linear Multi-Agent Systems with Adaptive Dynamic Protocols
This paper considers the distributed consensus problem of multi-agent systems
with general continuous-time linear dynamics. Two distributed adaptive dynamic
consensus protocols are proposed, based on the relative output information of
neighboring agents. One protocol assigns an adaptive coupling weight to each
edge in the communication graph while the other uses an adaptive coupling
weight for each node. These two adaptive protocols are designed to ensure that
consensus is reached in a fully distributed fashion for any undirected
connected communication graphs without using any global information. A
sufficient condition for the existence of these adaptive protocols is that each
agent is stabilizable and detectable. The cases with leader-follower and
switching communication graphs are also studied.Comment: 17 pages, 5 figue
Sweep coverage of discrete time multi-robot networks with general topologies
summary:This paper addresses a sweep coverage problem of multi-robot networks with general topologies. To deal with environmental uncertainties, we present discrete time sweep coverage algorithms to guarantee the complete coverage of the given region by sweeping in parallel with workload partition. Moreover, the error between actual coverage time and the optimal time is estimated with the aid of continuous time results. Finally, numerical simulation is conducted to verify the theoretical results
Output average consensus over heterogeneous multi-agent systems via two-level approach
summary:In this paper, a novel two-level framework was proposed and applied to solve the output average consensus problem over heterogeneous multi-agent systems. This approach is mainly based on the recent technique of system abstraction. For given multi-agent systems, we first constructed their abstractions as the upper level and solved their average consensus problem by leveraging well-known results for single integrators. Then the control protocols for physical agents in the lower level were synthesized in a hierarchical way by embedding the designed law for abstractions into an interface between two levels. In this way, the complexity coming from heterogeneous dynamics of agents is totally decoupled from that of the coordination task and the communication topologies. An example was given to show its effectiveness
Suboptimal Event-Triggered Consensus of Multiagent Systems
In this paper the suboptimal event-triggered consensus problem of Multiagent systems is investigated. Using the combinational measurement approach, each agent only updates its control input at its own event time instants. Thus the total number of events and the amount of controller updates can be significantly reduced in practice. Then, based on the observation of increasing the consensus rate and reducing the number of triggering events, we have proposed the time-average cost of the agent system and developed a suboptimal approach to determine the triggering condition. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is illustrated by numerical examples
Consensus seeking in multi-agent systems with an active leader and communication delays
summary:In this paper, we consider a multi-agent consensus problem with an active leader and variable interconnection topology. The dynamics of the active leader is given in a general form of linear system. The switching interconnection topology with communication delay among the agents is taken into consideration. A neighbor-based estimator is designed for each agent to obtain the unmeasurable state variables of the dynamic leader, and then a distributed feedback control law is developed to achieve consensus. The feedback parameters are obtained by solving a Riccati equation. By constructing a common Lyapunov function, some sufficient conditions are established to guarantee that each agent can track the active leader by assumption that interconnection topology is undirected and connected. We also point out that some results can be generalized to a class of directed interaction topologies. Moreover, the input-to-state stability (ISS) is obtained for multi-agent system with variable interconnection topology and communication delays in a disturbed environment
