Mobile technology has been considered as a viable alternative for developing applications to be used in all our life activities. This proposal proposed to utilize such technology for booking tickets of MARA Liner to make this service available anywhere and anytime. The main objective of this study will be to develop and evaluate a prototype mobile-based Bus Ticketing Services (MBTS). This study aims to provide an effective utilization of WAP technology for bus transportation companies. The literature regarding to the mobile technology and its aspects has discussed to get the knowledge base for such mobile technology. This proposal has discussed the methodology of the research. It will guide to develop and evaluate the prototype. The methodology was adopted from SDRM and it includes four steps: Information Gathering, Prototype design, Prototype Development, and Evaluation. Results of user evaluation on the MBTS indicate that it has good usability in terms of Usefulness, Ease of Use and Outcome and Future Use. The results also indicate that there is a significant difference between two groups, first group of users who have mobile phone and other group of users who have not; for Usefulness Outcome/Future Use, while no significant difference for Usefulness and Ease of Use

In the last decade, the number of mobile phone users has increased dramatically.Nowadays, mobile phone has become part of people’s life.Today’s mobile phones provide not just voice call and messaging services, but plethora of other services. This research is about the utilization of mobile phone for dua and zikr for Hajj. The main aim of this research is to develop a mobile Dua and Zikr application to help Hajj pilgrims to recite them while performing all the Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah rituals. At the moment, this research focuses on developing the application on Android platform. In developing the application, all the required Dua and Zikr have to be gathered, compiled and verified before the prototype could be developed using J2ME.The prototype consists of text and audio files of the recited Dua and Zikr in Arabic as well as the translations in Malay. The prototype has been proven to be useful in helping the pilgrims to easily and conveniently recite the Dua and Zikr towards achieving Hajj Mabrur

ABSTRACT The limitation of information dissemination through files and hard copies pasted on noticeboards and the bottleneck of keeping paper documents necessitated the need for this work. Automating and digitalizing all forms of records about staff and students using current software technologies such as ASP.NET and SQL 2000 eliminates manual dissemination of information. This was achieved by capturing staff and student's biographical data through the paperbased data capturing form. This paper takes a look at how a data flow model can be applied to WAP application for Institutional Information Systems. This resulted into a data-driven mobile web application which leads to the Institutional Information System having components to capture, store, retrieve, and distribute information from the Institution's gateway and security to protect information from unauthorized access

Most libraries provide book reservation and renewal services through the library counter as well as online computer. However, through the counter, these services are only available during of ice hours.Even though through online computer, users are able to access the services anytime, but they must be connected to the Internet which limits their access to these services.Since the need of library users have increased tremendously, an alternative technology is required. Thus, mobile technology has been identified as a potential alternative since it is able to provide the two services anytime and anywhere. This paper discusses a prototype Mobile-Based Library Loan Service (MBLLS), a facility which has been developed for library users to access online library services through mobile devices. MBLLS was developed for book reservation and renewal services. Results of user evaluation on the MBLLS indicate that it has good usability in terms of Usefulness, Ease of Use and Outcome/Future Use.The results also indicate that there is a significant dif erence between novice and expert users for Usefulness and Ease of Use, while no significant dif erence for Outcome/Future Use

Hajj consists of several rituals, which require the pilgrims to recite specific dua and zikr for each of them. Since there are so many dua and zikr involved, pilgrims who are not well versed in Arabic have difficulties to memorize them. This paper discusses the incorporation of voice recognition in an application that helps pilgrims to recite dua and zikr while performing all Hajj rituals, called Mobile Doa and Zikir for Hajj (MDZ4H). Android platform has been chosen due to the dramatic increased in the Android mobile phone users worldwide. MDZ4H displays the Arabic text, the translation in Malay and also the Arabic audio files of the dua and zikr, which has been gathered, compiled, and verified before the application could be developed using J2ME. After that it has been evaluated by experts. The findings show some of the limitations of incorporation the Google speech to text function and suggest the solutions and the future work.It is hoped that the developed application could be made available in order to help Hajj pilgrims to easily and conveniently recite the dua and zikr towards achieving Hajj Mabrur

Today even small mobile devices access the internet. Therewith, mobility issues have become an important technical and economic topic-- not only in new but in proven and successful web applications as well. The main problem derives from a growing development of heterogeneity in hardware and software of mobile devices. To overcome this problem, this paper presents a framework to develop Web Applications for Mobile Devices. This framework issues important points when developing web application that also focuses on mobile users. This includes completely new developments, as well as development that issue an upgrade of existing web applications to mobile devices. An important element in this framework is the employment of the fairly new CC/PP standard
