    How analytical hierarchy process prioritizing internet banking influencing factors? a research study

    Internet banking is a method for conducting financial transactions online that makes use of the internet as a platform. Customers could transact at any time and from any location. Numerous aspects relating to the adoption of internet banking have been analyzed and studied in recent in-depth studies from the literature. This paper will merge these numerous predefined factors into a model by drawing on the various ideas related to the acceptance model. It was decided to adapt the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method for finding the important numerous components for the model. The finest mathematical calculation method is AHP, which enables decision-makers to prioritize their ranking in order to satisfy various criteria. The goal of this research is to rank the elements that influence the use of online banking. Three main factors such as technical information, website and service availability were chosen as the main factors of the model based on the literature review. Sub-factors such as ease of use, responsiveness, privacy, reliability, security, communication and efficiency were also suggested and combined into a single integrated framework. Utilizing the systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, several factors were found. As a result, the article will enhance understanding of the unique elements supporting the adoption of internet banking

    Supply chain collaboration within the Iranian construction industry

    Collaboration is an important factor to succeed and increase the sustainability in project management and construction, especially in a construction supply chain (CSC) that includes multiple partners. Although, in recent decades, many changes have occurred in the construction industry, there are still many problems in this area. Therefore, research in this area becomes vital because collaboration is one of the best approaches to improve CSC performance. In this study, collaborative relationship has been found to be affected by three main factors: managerial, financial and structural. However, application of collaboration in Iran is still in its inception. This comprehensive research study focuses on suitable context for implementing the collaboration method. The methodology of this research is based on interviews and a review of previous research, which identifies critical factors and positive results of use in relation to collaboration. Results of this study improve our knowledge about the role of collaboration in a CSC’s performance. Analysis of data shows that managerial factors have the most positive effects on the implementation of collaboration networks in CSCs, followed by financial factors and organizational factors

    Quantifying reputation loss of pipeline operator from various stakeholders perspectives, part 1: prioritization

    Quantifying reputation loss (RL) due to pipeline damage is commonly generalized based on the owner's definition. This one-way perspective of portraying RL is unfair and unrealistic and consequently miscalculates the impact assessment of pipeline damage; hence, inaccurate risk prediction. It is crucial to develop a model to quantify qualitative RL to avoid unpredicted risk. Thus, this article provides a framework for a procedure to calculate RL by utilizing the factors identified in a previous study. In this paper (Part 1), the prioritization of factors based on the stakeholders' perspectives is presented. The factors were grouped into stakeholder-influenced categories and prioritized by a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on the feedback gained from the stakeholders, i.e., investors, customers, employees and the public. The result shows that factor D3, “Accident severity”, was ranked highest by all stakeholders. The priority vector for each factor obtained was assigned as a weight of the factor. The pipeline owner's reputation loss model (RLM) is developed by applying the obtained priority vectors in the subsequent paper (Part 2). The developed model was verified by experts as a comprehensive, clear, objective, practical and moderately reliable model. The model was applied to a case study and eventually produced a lower risk value when compared with the currently used model. It is proven that RL factors can be quantitatively measured and can simultaneously improve pipeline damage impact assessment. Thus, a risk-based inspection schedule can be managed comprehensively

    New Zealand Building Project Cost and Its Influential Factors: A Structural Equation Modelling Approach

    Construction industry significantly contributes to New Zealand's economic development. However, the delivery of construction projects is usually plagued by cost overruns, which turn potentially successful projects into money-losing ventures, resulting in various other unexpected negative impacts. The objectives of the study were to identify, classify, and assess the impacts of the factors affecting project cost in New Zealand. The proposed research model was examined with structural equation modelling. Recognising the lack of a systematic approach for assessing the influencing factors associated with project cost, this study identified 30 influencing factors from various sources and quantified their relative impacts. The research data were gathered through a questionnaire survey circulated across New Zealand construction industry. A total of 283 responses were received, with a 37% response rate. A model was developed for testing the relationship between project cost and the influential factors. The proposed research model was examined with structural equation modelling (SEM). According to the results of the analysis, market and industry conditions factor has the most significant effect on project cost, while regulatory regime is the second-most significant influencing factor, followed by key stakeholders' perspectives. The findings can improve project cost performance through the identification and evaluation of the cost-influencing factors. The results of such analysis enable industry professionals to better understand cost-related risks in the complex environment

    Comprehensive Power Transformers Evaluation based on Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach

    Selection of adequate power transformers is among the most important factors for ensuring well-operated and optimized power generation and distribution systems, which imposes the need for applying optimization methods in order to obtain comprehensive evaluation process. In the paper, a multi-criteria group decision-making supportive model for the power transformer evaluation is proposed; the model is based on integration of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the compromise ranking method with fuzzy Set Theory. The AHP method was utilized in order to estimate the criteria relative weights, whereas the compromise ranking method was used for alternative assessment and compromise ranking. Integration of the fuzzy logic within the proposed model allows dealing with problem of the ambiguities of human perceptions and provides more rational results.
