    Ejen insurans merupakan jurujual pertengahan bagi syarikat insurans di mana mereka memainkan peranan penting dalam memberi khidmat nasihat kewangan (Hannah, 2011). Ejen insurans bekerja berdasarkan persekitaran pengaturan kerja yang fleksibel di mana mereka boleh menyediakan jadual waktu bekerja sendiri. Sebahagian daripada mereka bertemu dengan pelanggan pada waktu perniagaan siang hari, sementara yang lain pula membuat kertas kerja dan menyediakan konsultasi untuk pelanggan pada waktu petang. Kebanyakan mereka bekerja selama 40 jam seminggu dan ada juga beberapa ejen yang bekerja lebih lama daripada 40 jam (Hannah, 2011). Prestasi ejen insurans sangat penting untuk mengekalkan jenama produk insurans. Penilaian terhadap prestasi di kalangan ejen insurans biasanya bergantung kepada kejayaan atau kegagalan mencapai sasaran penjualan (Insurance Agent Job Overview, 2019).     Design and optimal springs stiffness estimation of a Modular OmniCrawler in-pipe climbing Robot

    This paper discusses the design of a novel compliant in-pipe climbing modular robot for small diameter pipes. The robot consists of a kinematic chain of 3 OmniCrawler modules with a link connected in between 2 adjacent modules via compliant joints. While the tank-like crawler mechanism provides good traction on low friction surfaces, its circular cross-section makes it holonomic. The holonomic motion assists it to re-align in a direction to avoid obstacles during motion as well as overcome turns with a minimal energy posture. Additionally, the modularity enables it to negotiate T-junction without motion singularity. The compliance is realized using 4 torsion springs incorporated in joints joining 3 modules with 2 links. For a desirable pipe diameter (\text{\O} 75mm), the springs' stiffness values are obtained by formulating a constraint optimization problem which has been simulated in ADAMS MSC and further validated on a real robot prototype. In order to negotiate smooth vertical bends and friction coefficient variations in pipes, the design was later modified by replacing springs with series elastic actuators (SEA) at 2 of the 4 joints.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1704.0681

    Design and Evaluation of the LOPES Exoskeleton Robot for Interactive Gait Rehabilitation

    This paper introduces a newly developed gait rehabilitation device. The device, called LOPES, combines a freely translatable and 2-D-actuated pelvis segment with a leg exoskeleton containing three actuated rotational joints: two at the hip and one at the knee. The joints are impedance controlled to allow bidirectional mechanical interaction between the robot and the training subject. Evaluation measurements show that the device allows both a "pa- tient-in-charge" and "robot-in-charge" mode, in which the robot is controlled either to follow or to guide a patient, respectively. Electromyography (EMG) measurements (one subject) on eight important leg muscles, show that free walking in the device strongly resembles free treadmill walking; an indication that the device can offer task-specific gait training. The possibilities and limitations to using the device as gait measurement tool are also shown at the moment position measurements are not accurate enough for inverse-dynamical gait analysis

    The advanced servomanipulator (ASM) slave was designed with an anthropomorphic stance gear/torque tube power drives, and modular construction. These features resulted in increased inertia, friction, and backlash relative to tape driven manipulators. Studies were performed which addressed to human factor design and performance tradeoffs associated with the corresponding master controller best suited for the ASM.     Segmented capacitance tomography electrodes: a design and experimental verifications

    A segmented capacitance tomography system for real-time imaging of multiphase flows is developed and pre-sented in this work. The earlier research shows that the electrical tomography (ECT) system is applicable in flow visualization (image reconstruction). The acquired concentration profile ob-tained from capacitance measurements able to imaged liquid and gas mixture in pipelines meanwhile the system development is designed to attach on a vessel. The electrode plates which act as the sensor previously has been assembled and fixed on the pipeline, thus it causes obscurity for the production to have any new process installation in the future. Therefore, a segmented electrode sensor offers a new design and idea on ECT system which is portable to be assembled in different diameter sizes of pipeline, and it is flexible to apply in any number due to different size of pipeline without the need of redesigning the sensing module. The new ap-proach of this sensing module contains the integration intelligent electrode sensing circuit on every each of electrode sensors. A microcontroller unit and data acquisition (DAQ) system has been integrated on the electrode sensing circuit and USB technology was applied into the data acquisition system making the sensor able to work independently. Other than that the driven guard that usually placed between adjacent measuring electrodes and earth screen has been embedded on the segmented electrode sensor plates. This eliminates the cable noise and the electrode, so the signal conditioning board can be expanded according to pipe diameter

    An overview of the space remote manipulator system

    An overview of the system requirements and performance of the Shuttle Remote Manipulator System (SRMS) is given. Data on some of the mechanical design considerations that were necessary during the development program are presented. The operational success of both the Orbiter and the SRMS during flights of Space Transportation System-2, -3, and -4 is ample evidence that the SRMS performed as expected and as desired. While some minor improvements were made in the follow-on production systems, one of which was delivered and two of which are currently under construction, the system design did not change significantly. Thus, information given is applicable to all the manipulator systems
