Creating a Testing Framework and Workflow for Developers New to Web Application Engineering
Get PDFWeb applications are quickly replacing standalone applications for everyday tasks.
These web applications need to be tested to ensure proper functionality and
reliability. There have been substantial efforts to create tools that assist with the
testing of web applications, but there is no standard set of tools or a recommended
workflow to ensure speed of development and strength of application.
We have used and outlined the merits of a number of existing testing tools
and brought together the best among them to create what we believe is a fully- featured, easy to use, testing framework and workflow for web application devel- opment.
We then took an existing web application, PolyXpress, and augmented its
development process to include our workflow suggestions in order to incorporate
testing at all levels. PolyXpress is a web application that 鈥渁llows you to create
location-based stories, build eTours, or create restaurant guides. It is the tool
that will bring people to locations in order to entertain, educate, or provide
amazing deals.鈥漑10] After incorporating our testing procedures, we immediately
detected previously unknown bugs in the software. In addition, there is now a
workflow in place for future developers to use which will expedite their testing
and development

aplicaciones
mHealth
(Mobile
Health)
se
encuentran
en
auge
y
continuar谩n
siendo
un
factor
importante
en
la
asistencia
sanitaria,
dado
que
existe
una
constante
evoluci贸n
en
las
t茅cnicas
m茅dicas
y
psiqui谩tricas
que
necesitan
de
un
apoyo
telem谩tico.
Tambi茅n
cabe
destacar
que
la
evoluci贸n
de
las
tecnolog铆as
har谩
que
los
pacientes
y
el
personal
sanitario
puedan
beneficiarse
del
intercambio
de
datos
e
informaci贸n
entre
pacientes
y
el
personal
sanitario
y
el
personal
sanitario
entre
ellos
mismos.
Esta
evoluci贸n
trae
consigo
que
las
aplicaciones
de
mHealth
dan
al
personal
sanitario
una
nueva
visi贸n
en
la
forma
de
trabajo
y
comunicaci贸n
con
sus
compa帽eros,
beneficiando
por
lo
tanto
a
los
pacientes
que
sufren
enfermedades
cr贸nicas
neurodegenerativas
o
enfermedades
neurol贸gicas.
Con
el
inicio
de
una
nueva
l铆nea
de
investigaci贸n,
se
hace
un
estudio
detallado
enmarcada
en
el
campo
del
entorno
m贸vil
en
la
telemedicina
centr谩ndonos
en
los
pacientes
con
alg煤n
tipo
de
discapacidad
cognitiva.
El
prop贸sito
general
de
la
investigaci贸n
es
el
uso
de
los
dispositivos
m贸viles
con
conexi贸n
a
Internet,
para
poder
compartir
y
obtener
informaci贸n
en
relaci贸n
a
los
historiales
cl铆nicos
de
los
