    Leveraging analytics to produce compelling and profitable film content

    Producing compelling film content profitably is a top priority to the long-term prosperity of the film industry. Advances in digital technologies, increasing availabilities of granular big data, rapid diffusion of analytic techniques, and intensified competition from user generated content and original content produced by Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) platforms have created unparalleled needs and opportunities for film producers to leverage analytics in content production. Built upon the theories of value creation and film production, this article proposes a conceptual framework of key analytic techniques that film producers may engage throughout the production process, such as script analytics, talent analytics, and audience analytics. The article further synthesizes the state-of-the-art research on and applications of these analytics, discuss the prospect of leveraging analytics in film production, and suggest fruitful avenues for future research with important managerial implications

    Intellectual Agent Ensemble with Professional Competencies, Pattern Recognition and Decision Making

    Each competence is exercised by an intellectual agent with a competent functional professional image. Intellectual agents form an ensemble with clever ethical artificial intelligence. The use of an ensemble with intelligent ethical artificial intelligence in various environments is carried out by synergistically adjusting the interaction of intelligent agents based on data from a specific environment obtained by an analytical competent intellectual agent. Modeling holographic processes of the human psyche based on artificial intelligence of machine learning with Fourier transformation using full parametric sequences of necessary and sufficient data of holograms of target objects solves the problem of their unambiguous detection in different environments and in different conditions. An ensemble of intelligent decision-making agents is a cognitive information system that makes a decision based on an objective analysis of available data in difficult situations, in an interactive mode, taking into account performance criteria and resource-time constraints. Decision-making criteria are functionalities that express preferences and allow ranking the quality of decisions. Decisions are made on the basis of rules. Decision rules are a set of logical constructs used to produce a decision based on criteria, data, and knowledge.     Communities in New Media started in 1998 as a workshop series at TU Dresden, and since then has annually dealt with online communities at the interface between several disciplines such as education and economics, computer science, social and communication sciences, and more. (See Köhler, Kahnwald & Schoop, 2015). The workshop is traditionally a forum for interdisciplinary dialogue between science and business and serves to share experiences and knowledge among participants from different disciplines, organisations, and institutions. In addition to the core themes of knowledge management and communities (in the chapters of the same name), the main focus of the conference is also on the support of knowledge and learning processes in the field of (media-assisted) higher education. This is complemented by an informational perspective when it comes to more functional and methodological approaches - use cases, workflows, and automation in knowledge management. In addition, systems and approaches for feedback, exchange, and ideas are presented. With the focus of knowledge media design and visual research as well as creative processes, this time there is also a highlight on visual aspects of knowledge management and mediation.     Moderating Role of Artificial Intelligence Between Leadership Skills and Business Continuity

    Purpose: The objective of the study is to identify the moderating role of artificial intelligence between leadership skills and business continuity.   Theoretical framework: For the said purpose the underpinning support of the concept combination theory has been used to develop the framework of the study and artificial intelligence as a moderator is the main theoretical contribution of the study. The reliability and validity of the instrument was analyzed followed by Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling to test the framework of the study.   Design/methodology/approach: For the said purpose the data from 384 respondents was collected through simple random sampling. The questionnaires were adopted based on prior studies and was analyzed using 7-point Likert Scale representing 1 as strongly disagree and 7 as strongly Agree. The data was collected during 2021.   Findings:  The findings revealed that Artificial Intelligence and Leadership Skills both have a significant impact over Business Continuity. Moreover, the findings confirmed the moderating role of artificial intelligence over the relationship between leadership skills and business continuity.   Research, Practical & Social implications:  The study enriched the concept combination theory by confirming the moderating role of artificial intelligence. The findings are significant for the leaders and the organizations that in the current era artificial intelligence is the need of the time and organizations can maintain their sustainability with the help of artificial intelligence.   Originality/value: The study opened the horizons for new research by confirming the need for other factors that may compliment the leadership skills for the growth and continuity of the businesses

    The Impact of Helping Others in Coopetitive Crowdsourcing Communities

    Organizations are increasingly engaging the community through crowdsourcing platforms to evolve innovative solutions to challenging business problems. Participants on such platforms often simultaneously cooperate and compete with one another to earn top honors. This paper addresses the imperative to understand the dynamics of knowledge sharing in such a coopetitive environment. Specifically, our study relies on the conceptual foundations of social exchange and social capital theories to investigate how help rendered (e.g., exchanging ideas or sharing knowledge) by participants in an online coopetitive crowdsourcing setting affects their performance. Furthermore, the study examines the moderating effects of the intensity of competition. Results of our econometrics analyses suggest that help given in a highly competitive contest, as opposed to a less competitive one, is more likely to be reciprocated, but less likely to improve the contributor’s contest performance. In addition, our study found that help received by participants positively impacts their contest performance, and partially mediates the relationship between help rendered and contest performance. This research also provides insight into what motivates participants to share knowledge under conditions of coopetition. The findings of our study have strong implications for both theory and practice
