Integrable Quartic Potentials and Coupled KdV Equations
We show a surprising connection between known integrable Hamiltonian systems
with quartic potential and the stationary flows of some coupled KdV systems
related to fourth order Lax operators. In particular, we present a connection
between the Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV system and (a generalisation of) the
integrable case quartic potential. A generalisation of the case
is similarly related to a different (but gauge related) fourth order Lax
operator. We exploit this connection to derive a Lax representation for each of
these integrable systems. In this context a canonical transformation is derived
through a gauge transformation.Comment: LaTex, 11 page
Coupled KdV equations derived from atmospherical dynamics
Some types of coupled Korteweg de-Vries (KdV) equations are derived from an
atmospheric dynamical system. In the derivation procedure, an unreasonable
-average trick (which is usually adopted in literature) is removed. The
derived models are classified via Painlev\'e test. Three types of
-function solutions and multiple soliton solutions of the models are
explicitly given by means of the exact solutions of the usual KdV equation. It
is also interesting that for a non-Painlev\'e integrable coupled KdV system
there may be multiple soliton solutions.Comment: 19 pages, 2 figure
The Integrability of New Two-Component KdV Equation
We consider the bi-Hamiltonian representation of the two-component coupled
KdV equations discovered by Drinfel'd and Sokolov and rediscovered by Sakovich
and Foursov. Connection of this equation with the supersymmetric
Kadomtsev-Petviashvilli-Radul-Manin hierarchy is presented. For this new
supersymmetric equation the Lax representation and odd Hamiltonian structure is
given
On integrability of a (2+1)-dimensional perturbed Kdv equation
A (2+1)-dimensional perturbed KdV equation, recently introduced by W.X. Ma
and B. Fuchssteiner, is proven to pass the Painlev\'e test for integrability
well, and its 44 Lax pair with two spectral parameters is found. The
results show that the Painlev\'e classification of coupled KdV equations by A.

Lie symmetry reductions and conservation laws for fractional order coupled KdV system
Abstract
Lie symmetry analysis is achieved on a new system of coupled KdV equations with fractional order, which arise in the analysis of several problems in theoretical physics and numerous scientific phenomena. We determine the reduced fractional ODE system corresponding to the governing factional PDE system.
In addition, we develop the conservation laws for the system of fractional order coupled KdV equations
Algorithm for solving a generalized Hirota-Satsuma Coupled KdV equation using homotopy perturbation transform method
In this paper, we merge homotopy perturbation method with He’s polynomials and Laplace transformation method to produce a highly effective algorithm for finding approximate solutions for generalized Hirota-Satsuma Coupled KdV equations. This technique is called the Homotopy Perturbation Transform Method (HPTM). With this technique, the solutions are obtained without any discretization or restrictive assumptions, and devoid of roundoff errors. This technique solved a generalized Hirota-Satsuma Coupled KdV equation without using Adomian’s polynomials which can be considered as a clear advantage over the decomposition method. MAPLE software was used to calculate the series generated from the algorithm. The results reveal that the homotopy perturbation transform method (HPTM) is very efficient, simple and can be applied to other nonlinear problems. Keywords: Coupled KdV equations, Homotopy perturbation transform method, Laplace transform method, Maple software, He’s polynomia
