Correlation Between Gunung Padang and Sundanese Traditional Roof

Gunung Padang is the oldest prehistoric megaliths in Indonesia which has a function as a place of worship for the people who settled there about 2000BC according to its orientation and philosophy. Meanwhile after dark ages, people knowledge on building shelter arises therefore many traditional houses are build and had their philosophy implemented such as the vertical and horizontal beliefs in relation of human, nature, and divinity. This study concerns architecture identity correlation of place in the two eras because of cultural transition which can be observed until now. Gunung Padang has a similar vertical concept identity compare to Sundanese traditional roof according to both philosophy if the highest place is the most sacred place and describes the relationship between human, nature and divinity. The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between Gunung Padang and the Sundanese traditional roof concept in religion and cultural aspect. Correlation Between Prolonged Standing And Plantar Fasciitis

Background: Plantar fasciitis (PF) is the most common heel pain in adult. It is estimated that it affects as much as 10% of the population over the course of their lifetime. Previous study mention that prolonged standing is one of the risk factor of PF, however other study suggests that there is low evidence of prolonged standing may cause PF. The objective of this study was to findout whether or not prolonged standing may correlate to PF. Methods: This cross-sectional with total sampling study involved 73 workers in total. 35 of them did not fulfill the inclusion criteria, hence only 38 of subjects were used. The data collected using questionnare and analyzed using Chi-square. with p-value (p) <0.05 and confidence interval (CI) 95%. Results: There is no correlation between prolonged standing and PF symptoms p= 0.249. Conclusion: There is no correlation between prolonged standing and plantar fasciitis and even though in other study suggest that BMI, and age also the risk factor of PF this was not consistently confirmed in this study. Further research may use larger number of subjects and use other measure to determine the definition of prolonged standing

High p_T Hadron Correlation and No Correlation

An overview of the correlation among high-p_T hadrons produced in heavy-ion collisions is presented. Emphasis is placed on the physical processes that can quantitatively account for the data on correlations in p_T, \eta and \phi on the near and far sides. Predictions are made on processes that have no observable correlations for hadrons produced at intermediate and higher p_T at RHIC and LHC.Comment: 8 pages including 14 figures. Endogenous Correlation

We model endogenous correlation in asset returns via the role of heterogeneous expectations in investor types, and the dynamic impact of imitative learning by investors. Learning is driven by relative performance. In addition, we allow a cautious slow learning pace to reflect institutional conditions. Imitative learning shapes the market ecology that influences price formation. Using the model of non-imitative agents as a benchmark, our results show that the dynamics of imitative learning endogenously induce a significant degree of asset dependency and patterns of non-constant correlation. The asymmetric learning effect on correlation, however, implies a self-reinforcing process, where a bearish condition amplifies the effect that further exacerbates asset dependency. We conclude that imitative learning, even when rational, can to a certain extent account for the phenomena of market crashes. Our results have implications for transparency in regulation issues

Ambiguous correlation

Many decisions are made in environments where outcomes are determined by the realization of multiple random events. A decision maker may be uncertain how these events are related. We identify and experimentally substantiate behavior that intuitively reflects a lack of confidence in their joint distribution. Our findings suggest a dimension of ambiguity which is different from that in the classical distinction between risk and "Knightian uncertainty"

Optical Correlation

Pattern recognition may supplement or replace certain navigational aids on spacecraft in docking or landing activities. The need to correctly identify terrain features remains critical in preparation of autonomous planetary landing. One technique that may solve this problem is optical correlation. Correlation has been successfully demonstrated under ideal conditions; however, noise significantly affects the ability of the correlator to accurately identify input signals. Optical correlation in the presence of noise must be successfully demonstrated before this technology can be incorporated into system design. An optical correlator is designed and constructed using a modified 2f configuration. Liquid crystal televisions (LCTV) are used as the spatial light modulators (SLM) for both the input and filter devices. The filter LCTV is characterized and an operating curve is developed. Determination of this operating curve is critical for reduction of input noise. Correlation of live input with a programmable filter is demonstrated
